Loverboy - Dangerous Lyrics

You're doing it every night, you play with my emotions
Before we go on fighting let's get one thing straight
Is it going to be him or me--You know I need an answer
And now down to the wire and I just won't wait

There's something going on, I want to hear it from you face-to-face
Ya--you know it won't be long, before you make your last mistake
Cause you're dangerous, you've got it coming to you
Dangerous--Now what am I going to do?
Dangerous--And I'm a lot like you

We got to talk it out, there's three sides to every story
Well--ya, there's your side, there's my side and then there's the truth
I want to hear it from you, ya say we're all the same
But I know you ain't no angel,
Cause who you gonna blame when you wake up
Beside a stranger
Dangerous--You got it coming to you
Dangerous--Now what am I going to do, Baby
Dangerous--And I'm a lot like you
I'm a lot like you

There's something going on, I want to hear it from you face-to-face
Ya--you know it won't be long, before you make your last mistake
Cause you're dangerous, you've got it coming to you
Dangerous--Now what am I going to do?
Dangerous--And I'm a lot like you

I love the Harley’s. Loverboy made some of the best videos

  11. B.... H....

You know what's really dangerous? Riding a motorcycle without a helmet. Totally unreal that they allowed that in a music video.

  12. a.... d....

This peaked at #65 on Billboard in December 1985. Should have been much higher.

I didn't know Emilio Esteves was the lead singer for Loverboy? LOL

  18. j.... h....

I always loved the lyric"theres three sides to a storey...your side, my side, and the TRUTH!

  19. M.... M....

From the songwriting team of Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance. I've long wondered how Bryan could so rapidly switch from writing and performing kick-ass tunes like this one to pablum such as "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You" and practically everything else he had done since the early '90s.

    M.... M....

His audience became middle aged women who wanted middle of the road crooning ballads rather than the badass biker/rock chicks of the 80's.
Went to an Adams concert in '96 when he was touring the 18 Til I die album, after the unplugged stuff, it all went Adult Contemporary and "mom" music.

  20. T.... J....

Loverboy doing some seriously good work here.

  21. r.... ....

Bryan Adams/ Jim Vallance wrote this.

  22. Z.... ....

reminds me the Menu theme from Biker Mice from Mars (SNES)

  23. W.... ....

One of my favorite LOVERBOY videos ♥

  24. W.... W....

Another great song that was ignored. I hate the music industry.

  25. N.... N....

Ich verstehe Net warum das Lied Net so viel Erfolg hat😮

  26. G.... J....

I LOVE THIS MAN. SO REALLY MAN SEXYYYYYS YEAH AMAZING BAND, LOVE FOR EVER

  27. N.... F....

I always thought this was jump till the lyrics started

  28. B.... V....

Crappy, terribly crappy video and song. Forget about the selling figures for a while, but purely from a composition's point of view, this band is a one hit wonder (Working for the weekend). All their other songs I've heard so far don't even come kneehigh of that song. To me, they're both a one trick and a one track pony.

    B.... V....

All I know is my little sister loves them!

    B.... V....

That's your opinion. A lot of people loved their music, and they sold a lot of albums for a number of years.

  29. M.... ....

R.I.P. Scott Smith..... Of course that would de the bassist....Been 17 years already...

  30. k.... ....

Who's the dark haired woman in the beginning of the video?

  31. T.... M....

    Genuine rock band.

  32. G.... B....

I blasted this sh*t with the top down last night cruising up Hollywood Boulevard, them motherf*ckers couldn't believe me..SUCKERS!!!...Loverboy BEST!!!...80's Music FOREVER!!!

  33. g.... ....

Unfortunately for Loverboy..this is when they start the downward spiral as far as being like a headlining rock band..dont get me wrong...I liked Loverboy..played the absolute hell out of that Get Lucky cassette...they had a very respectable run there for awhile..

    g.... ....

And yet they still tour...............saw them about 10 years ago and they still rocked like they were back in the 80's................

  34. r.... ....

Yeah. Great song with some great keyboards.

  35. X.... H....

damn, Loverboy seems like one of those underrated 80s bands. And anytime somebody knows about them it's ONLY "Working for the Weekend", but there's so many good ones like this I like better. I was obsessed with them back around 2003.

    X.... H....

    JPMcFly1985Two #FeelTheBern I love every single album

  36. S.... R....

    What the hell!!
She wear one black sneaker and the other one it's white
    ahahahahha

  37. K.... C....

I'm not saying Loverboy was high art but this is one of the worst videos ever made.

    K.... C....

I totally disagree. Chicks, motorcycles, and having fun. it honestly doesn't get more 80s than that. I was there.

    K.... C....

Most videos are affected crap anyway. The music should sell itself. Too much focus on visual aspects is how we got into the mess we are in today in terms of the music industry wherein there is essentially no emphasis on musical ability and quality left. Video Killed The Radio Star.

  38. J.... B....

Their earlier stuff had heavier guitar than this .
This song would have been way better with heavier guitar

  39. K.... ....

Always reminded me of the song "Reckless" by Bryan Adams. Both good tunes IMO.

    K.... ....

KINGKAOS518 I know that Bryan Adams co-wrote a few songs with them.

    K.... ....

It's the same song, they just changed the lyric in the chorus. It's credited to Adams and Jim Vallance on the album.

  40. J.... L....

OOOW YEAH BABY THIS IS THE WAY IT USED TO BE AND THESE GUYS ARE JUST LIVIN IT !!!! THE WAY WE ALL SHOULD !!! LOVE IT !!!!

  41. I.... S....

    Cococool!

  42. R.... B....

There were a lot of great singers in the 80's and although a lot of them could sing. Some of the singers were fairly generic Rock singers. Mike Reno is totally different he has a unique voice a great tone not to mention power and some range as well. He can sing lower if he wants to check out Lead A Double Life from the Lovin Every Minute Of It album. The whole MTV thing was a blessing and a curse. It is pretty obvious to see what the curse was most of the music videos were laughably bad.

    R.... B....

He is still awesome today. When you see him take the stage today, vastly overweight and a comical figure of his '80's self, and then you hear him sing.....you realize he still has it and is/was no joke. Reno is so bloody awesome. Doubt him at your own peril.

  43. T.... ....

    That Trike is awesome

  44. E.... ....

This song is catchy as hell. It reminds me of Y&T a little.

  45. R.... G....

es una exelente cancion que te atrapa desde el comienzo

  46. A.... V....

It's music like this that makes the 80s dominates over any other decades...OUCH!

    A.... V....

So short and so sweet. Exactly. What else needs to be said? This is it.

    A.... V....

    You're not wrong!!!!

  47. T.... W....

#360 like, fantastic musicianship. Everyone in their element and of course Mike's incredible voice bringing the house down.

  48. C.... L....

    Mike Reno is the man!

  49. K.... H....

Wow, that's from the way-back machine. Thanks!

  50. C.... ....

    2:56 Hot Chicks.

  51. J.... C....

Mike Reno and his girlfriend appeared in this video kissing each other cute couple they should be contestants on legends of the hidden temple thier team would be the red Jaguars or the silver snakes I think mike Reno would run the temple within 3 minutes 😀

    J.... C....

That was not his girlfriend, she is an actress.

  52. b.... b....

My god is it SELMA HAYEK!!!!

  53. R.... B....

    Miss the 80's

  54. 7.... ....

Does anybody know who the brunette biker chick actress is?  She looks familiar.

  55. K.... D....

is that a basilisk getting a smooch at the end. he does not seem impressed by that haha

    K.... D....

Kurtis Dragosani I believe that's a green iguana

  56. R.... E....

Awesome friggin' tune, and album!!!! Brings back great memories of high school:) Mike Reno has some serious pipes!!! Dig that tone Paul Dean has going on his guitar:)

    R.... E....

    kick ass tune!

  57. S.... ....

Check out the reissue of Reckless from Bryan Adams which features the original version of this song when it was called Reckless.

  58. L.... E....

I love the 80s was a great Decade

  59. J.... A....

Play this song and think of having a total babe like Molly Line or Julie Banderas...  mmmm

  60. W.... ....

Like Jump, another cool Bryan Adams tune ... with the Loverboy treatment!

    W.... ....

Did you listen the original version!? Bryan just came out with his original version...called simply "Reckless"... Now you can hear it on Youtube too...

    W.... ....

@Antonio Afonso Yes! The Bryan Adams' version was released on his birthday! Also, that day was the 30th anniversary of Reckless.

Also on the expanded CD is his version of Teacher, Teacher. The popular version is from .38 Special.

I can still hang with the Loverboy treatment of Dangerous...and Jump.

  61. H.... ....

I just found out the bassist Smith died in the waters off San Fran. He was a personal fav the way how smooth he looked playing bass and the power he got out of it. RIP my friend, and it's sooooooooooo sad.

    H.... ....

    Ya... in 2000..

  62. D.... P....

AGREED RIGHT ON 80 4 EVER!!!!!!!!!

  63. a.... ....

It was filmed all over Los Angels. The bridge at 0:40 is called the Shakespeare bridge in Los Feliz, CA. (about 1 mile ease of Hollywood). The motocycle ride looks like the San Gabrial Mountains. The motorcycle stop looks like Topanga Canyon.

  64. m.... ....

Who is the gentleman at 3:18 with black hair.
Which city and which neighborhood was video filmed.

  65. S.... B....

    MIKCHAEL PETT[

  69. P.... R....

I saw these guys in 1983 at Kemper Arena, Kansas. I will be seeing them again in September in Kansas, again!! They put on GREAT show! Can't wait to see them!! I agree with Rock80Goddess, These guys always have great hits on every album!

  70. a.... ....

Great now I want to wear 2 different colored sneakers

  71. s.... ....

A bit of a cheesy video. I liked Mattie's angel wings! I guess this was par for the course in the 80s as far as videos go. As far as songs go, Loverboy's songs have held up damn well over time. Great in the 80s and still great songs today. My teenagers even enjoy Loverboy!

  72. b.... ....

I had forgotten about this song. Lotta energy.
