Loretta Lynn - There Stands The Glass Lyrics

There stands the glass fill it up to the brim
Till my troubles grow dim it's my first one today

There stands the glass that will ease all my pain
That will settle my brain till I'll be on my way

I wonder where you are tonight
I wonder if you are all right
I wonder if you think of me in my misery

There stands the glass that will hide all my tears
That will drown all my fear brother I'm on my way

I wonder if you think of me in my misery

There stands the glass fill it up to the brim
Till my troubles grow dim brother I'm on my way
There stands the glass

Earl Dormer is so right. I first heard Loretta sing this then years later I heard Webb Pierce's version. He was horrible. I have not heard my man George Strait's version. Gonna check it out. I love Loretta's version but I bet George is good too.

  17. c.... b....

she sings this nice but I love George Strait singing it

What a great cover of Webb's song. Loretta was awesome in her day and still shines today. These modern day singers could sure use a lesson or two from the generation that put Country Music on the map!!!

Loretta certainly earned her rank in Country Music! The way she delivers a song will never be duplicated and she really knocked this version of Webb's song out of the ball park! Way to go!!

I always loved this old 1950's country classic by Webb Pierce. I was so excited when LORETTA LYNN recorded it and put it on her 1982 LP "I Lie."
