Loretta Lynn - In The Garden Lyrics

I come to the garden alone while the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear falling on my ear the son of God discloses
And he walks with me and he talks with me and he tells me I am his own
And the joy we share as we tarry there none other has ever known
[ guitar ]
He speaks and the sound of his voice is so sweet that the birds hush their singing
And the melody that he gave to me within my heart is ringing
And he walks with me...

What will we say when we stand at the Throne of Judgement. God loves us and Jesus died for our sins to be forgiven and wash us clean in soul and spirit. Please accept Jesus as your Savior if you have not already and love God with all your heart.

    Just beautiful

  6. J.... ....

Loretta Lynn was one of the greatest singers ever. Thank you God for blessing us with her beautiful voice.

  7. S.... N....

Wow, the last note of this song sounds EXACTLY like Crystal Gayle. Loretta Lynn, in my view, is one of the great american voices of all time. I just never realized how similar she and Crystal’s voices were. They are truly gifted. Plus I think Loretta’s gospel is her finest work.

  39. H.... C....

Not just a lovely song, it is an experience all can have thanks to Jesus' sacrifice for our sin. Jesus said that because he went to the father he would ask the father and he would send the Holy Spirit to be with us and in US so at any moment of time if we are born again we can have this experience of personal communication with our heavenly father in the person of the Holy Spirit.

  40. C.... ....

Jesus was in the garden praying, "Dad, it's me - you, Jesus! What are you doing? I need to catch up on the latest gossip. Are you still helping people find their oxcart keys?"

  53. B.... ....

I love this but this is such an "us" style. I firmly believe that if Muslims and Christians had the smame type of music we'd be much more in sync. That being said i again want to say i love it.

    Purty, purty, purty

Most beautiful & true lyrics-Loretta always the best, her heart feels this song! God bless you Loretta Lynn!

  57. M.... ....

Some folks stir the soul when they sing from the heart. This lady has done this and more.

  58. N.... T....

this song reminds me of my GMA... she used to sing and play hymns all the time, they played this song at her funeral... I'm not very religious and def. not a Christian, but I don't think you have to be in order to enjoy this song.. as it brings me to tears all the time.. Don't mind me just balling my eyes out..

    N.... T....

I wish for you all the very best young lady. Your comment seems "definant". Since you are young, I hope you have opportunities to perhaps reconsider.
It seems your grandmother had accomplished that and more. She has you thinking. You can be with her again. God's Blessing be yours.

    N.... T....

    Idk...
Maybe those tears are because your GMA is with Jesus...and your spirit hears the the dew on the roses..wishing you to walk with Jesus..
    Idk.

    GOD be with you.

    N.... T....

Nikki - have you ever heard the Dirt Band's 'old upright piano'? I think you will like the spirit of the (not very religious) song.
And ignore these other intrusive comments. They talk about love, but really just want you to join the enslaved. Keep thinking for yourself. No one can answer life's questions but YOU!

  59. P.... C....

This is on my list for my final departure!! Love Loretta singing it!!!

  63. K.... S....

"and He walks with me,and He talks with me, and He tells me I am His own" Amen

    K.... S....

    In Jesus name, Amen.

  64. L.... B....

JESUS never abandons or forgets HIS Own.

  65. S.... C....

She was at her best here. Her voice is so crystal clear and lovely!

  66. J.... D....

Ronee Blakley did a perfect acapella version of this in Nashville. It made my spine tingle. The sad 'country star', playing a version of Loretta, was spot on! A short clip, uncluttered, soulful. Wish it was on the soundtrack.

  67. R.... M....

  86. t.... g....

    the coal miners daughter bril

  87. P.... G....

A voice exuding belief and a face shadowed by doubt and pain. It's hard to imagine a performance that better shows why people without faith are can be attracted to gospel music. This is not an observation about Ms Lynn's beliefs, but only to say that the bridge she builds here is definitely not a Bridge to Nowhere.

  88. K.... D....

Loretta Lynn an amazing singer singing about communing with Jesus,The most beautiful treatment on this song i know of.Thanks Keith,The Ct. Ranger.

  89. P.... ....
