Personally I like the original version better but this version is great as it gives more of a dark sci-fi vibe that
1) sounds bad ass
2) matches the lyrics

Tho tbh most of the emotion comes from the instrumentals and there's less in her voice but the more I listened I realized it actually make it more deeper because they're so focused on ruling the world that everything else is dead to them and/or they're dead inside

the trailer for assassin's creed unity trailer brought me here. BTW, I played the game on PS4, however I didn't have internet when I did. Therefore, I saw a lot of glitches and whatnot. If I was to play it today though, pretty sure the majority of them would be fixed.

This is my favorite example of a terrible cover. Lorde misses the point, makes the tone of song completely dark so even a surface level dumbass who doesn't actually care about lyrics can interpret the emotion they should feel with extreme ease. It's also incredibly overdramatic, she's trying *far* too hard.
