Loggins & Messina - My Music Lyrics
Do do do...
Hey, little girl
Won't you meet me
At the schoolyard gate
To the biggest show in town
So, honey, don't you make me late
If we leave really early and we hurry
We can get in with the band
'Cause little Tim Smitty's
Got his old man's van
So let's get to getting
While the getting is right
God knows that I love my music
Ain't no one gonna change my tune
Don't you know that I love my music
Ain't never gonna change my tune
Hey, little girl, want to
Dance with you all night long
The music got me buzzing
And I feel pretty loose
I feel the rhythm and it's
Comin' on strong, baby, baby
Lay the rhythm on me, baby
There's power in the sound
With everybody jumping
We can bring the house down
So let's get to getting
While the getting is right
And roll with the rhythm tonight
God knows that I love my music
Ain't no one gonna change my tune
Don't you know that I love my music
Ain't never gonna change my tune
God knows that I love my music
Ain't no one gonna change my tune
Don't you know that I love my music
Ain't never gonna change my
Do do do...
Love my music
Ain't no one gonna change my tune
Don't you know that I love my music
Ain't never gonna change my tune

Loggins & Messina My Music Comments
Honestly I find it painfully repetitive and mediocre.
My favorite song in 73 in ahuimanu elementary school.
My dad got me hooked on this song. Like father like son! Thanks Dad for raising me on your awesome music! "God knows that I love Dad's music"
i always wanna hear this song when i drunk as hell
UPLIFTING!
this song says it all. .
VERY GOOD !!!!!
God so many memories from this. Whenever I was younger, every time we went on an interstate road trip, we'd always listen to this greatest hits of the 70s album and this was one of my favorites - and for good reason. Also, anyone who says that my generation (I'm 19 right now) doesn't listen to this kind of music is blind. There are so many of us which appreciate Loggins, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, The Doobie Brothers and so many other classic hits. It's practically unavoidable. I love it.
Love my emimusic. :))
God the Memories........
Song popped into my head today after not having heard it since the 1970's. Have absolutely no idea why but here I am.
This is a great song i was 11 years old when it came out !
Catchy and uplifting for sure
Whenever you're having a bad day, put this song on. Those bouncy riffs will help to chase away the blues.
This song takes me back to my first year of college in the Fall of 1973. At this time the airwaves were full of classic songs or soon to be classics. 43 years passed quickly...
One time I accidently sang "Little Timmy Shit" instead Little Timmy Schmidt has his old man's van, lol. We couldn't stop laughing.....
Haha it sounds like he is saying Tim shitty hahaaa I bet that was hilarious.
.Genial
A classic
After some research, I finally found this tune that I used to listen to on tape from Benson and Hedges music of the 70s. It's great to hear this again just like the old days.
It is a great fun song. Loggins and Messina were a great team. this song is a great opener or closer for an act. My band may ressurrect it. you're right everyone has forgotten this one.I used to do this with a band with horns way back in college. and most people enjoy it.It's really upbeat and most people of all ages enjoy it. Come one, folks, this is called "fun music" and there's nothing wrong with that.
Absolutely Love This Song!! Searched high and low! Reminds me of cruising with my cousins in Salt Lake City, back in the day!!
I can't believe this has gotten so few hits and so little attention. it may have only reached #16 but it got a lot of radio air play and everybody loved it. a real lost classic from the early 70s. they wrote it originally as an encore for their live set but it became a hit in it's own right. great to hear it again. yeah!
Jasonwheel, you say it just right. This song really covers the fun side of RocknRoll. As John Fogerty put it - RocknRoll should be fun. This is a happy tune. Thanks, brother.
It was on the radio every hour! So was Thinking of You. Just about ran them into the ground. But I love them. Part of me and my past. Trust me, I needed all the cheerful I could get back then and now too.
ain't never gonna change my tune!!!!
LOVE THIS SONG!

You are probably thinking of Billy Vaughn's Sail Along Silvery Moon.
Myron Floren took me to Lawrence welk. Close but I still can't find the song. I know I'm not imagining this. That riff is from another older song.
OK, it's been drivin me crazy for months. Where is the sax riff that starts @ the 1:44 mark from? I know there is a song that my parents listened to way back when that had that same riff.
Mr5foot16 sax really makes the tune. Bill. 77
