Incredibly, 17-year-old Loggins wrote this song about his impending high school graduation.
Loggins said: "The last chapter (of Winnie the Pooh) is where Christopher Robin is leaving the Hundred Acre Wood, and he's telling everybody goodbye. I felt like that was akin to what I was going through in high school. Some part of me knew that I was leaving my childhood behind. I didn't really think it through like that. It just sort of came through."
Amazing to have that depth of insight and be able to articulate it at such a young age.

This song is great for chilling me out when I feel manic. It's a natural chill pill! 😁

Our oldest son watched Winnie the Pooh on VHS over and over when he was 4 or 5. He's 38 now. This song reminds me of those long ago days.

People are still hanging out the 2019 most of us anyhow. We've lost a few greats in 2019 but well I'm well into my sixties and hanging on by a hair. Still like the music of the 60s and 70s and I guess 80s also has some good music. But I've done s*** that would make The Walking Dead run but some of those songs I still listen to will break the damn tears out half the time. I don't know if it's melancholy, missing what we had back then because things have totally went to hell now. But you know I never turn my radio on. I have a USB port on my radio so I just keep it plugged in and it automatically comes on when I get in the vehicle or if I come in the house I just turned it on the computer. I've got a couple of thousand songs recorded and I never listen to the radio anymore. But ain't no need to getting all sentimental and s*** y'all carry on!

It's a great song, for sure. I read somewhere that Kenny Loggins wrote House At Pooh Corner when he found his life was getting a little "out of control". His thought was to get back to "simpler times". My, how we ALL could learn from that these days!! Raising a glass of "cheer" to "simpler times".

Brody G....Yer comment busted me up! Never noticed that before, but then again I am a guy. Looks like he's wearing nut busting clam diggers! Makes me ache just looking at it. Didn't know a guy could have a camel toe lol! Never cared for Pooh bear - I was a Bugs Bunny kinda guy. Nut huggers aside - I sure like Kenny. Loads of talent and another one of his many awesome songs!

One of the most wonderful songs of all time,  My little boy led me to The Corner when he was the most precious baby ever born, and made his way to me There for the most glorious days and years of my life.  I don’t tuck him in anymore – my little boy has grown into the most extraordinary young man, and he is getting married this fall.  I couldn't be more proud or delighted, but still… I will wait Here for him…. If you go to 3:50 onward to the end, that's where the true mysticism of this song lies. For my money, this last bit is the best piece of music they ever made or recorded.
