I am a nanny of twins. I have listen to this song since they were 5 weeks old and now they are 8 months. Every time I play this song I rock them and they always fall a sleep... It's like they know this is the nap time song...so sweet!

The rhythm of this song is imprinted in my brain from early childhood bedtime songs. I just listened to it now at 21 years old. And it was almost cathartic.

When my children were young this was their bedtime music. Tonight I attended my granddaughters school concert and they killed this. Amazing when 45 kids voices all blend into a beautiful harmony. The tears started and I had to step out for a moment to fix my leaking eyes.

I like the revivals! I agree with you completely &I would even add that on the same album his rewrite of pooh corner is better than the first. Not only in verse, but if you go back and listen to him sing this song early in his career (which I loved), the way he sings it in later years as "return to pooh corner" far exceeds, at least in my mind, the original!!! I love that he still speaks to a wide audience. Perhaps I'll see some of you at the Saratoga Mountain Winery in August when he performs!
