Loggins, Kenny - Flying Dreams Lyrics

This was a lullaby I sang to my little boy when he was tiny. I love the original, but this is also magnificent.

I love both The Secret of NIMH AND a lot of yacht rock music (like Kenny Loggins's earlier songs like "This Is It", Michael McDonald, The Doobie Brothers, Steely Dan, and Daryl Hall and John Oates), but wow, I didn't know Kenny Loggins covered this.

Funny thing is, I actually love yacht rock because it, alongside a few new wave bands like The B52s and Spandau Ballet, and some late '70s and '80s pop and rock music (especially Michael Jackson, Phil Collins, and Genesis, the latter two of whom I believe would also fit in with both yacht rock and new wave at times after they ditched progressive rock) reminds me of music from the Sonic the Hedgehog games for the Sega Genesis and the Sonic Advance games, (as well as a lot of other games for the Sega Genesis, like Wonder Boy III: Monster Lair and Wonder Boy in Monster World) and both The Secret of NIMH and Sonic the Hedgehog are popular with furries.

Saw "The Secret of NIMH" again yesterday. I first saw it when I was six, I believe, and though I didn't understand much of it, it made quite an impact on me. I'm sure I've seen it nearly a dozen times.

While I'm rather attached to the original song, this cover is well done.

This was how I first heard this song. My mom bought the cd for me because it had the song "You're Heart Will Lead You Home". I was around 6  years old. This song plus the original always give me chills especially with the bridge instrumental.

James Moyner this song holds a special place in my heart as I always watched the secret of nimh as a child. It's really important to me and this cover was so good.
