Lobo - A Simple Man Lyrics
Where do butterflies go when it rains?
Who goes around & tucks in the trains?
What makes a teddy bear like to sleep?
Why do we all make promises that we can't keep?
And what do elephants say when their mad?
Who do you tell if you don't have a friend?
Why do we open our mouths and stick our foot in?
These are the things that bother me,
Not a lot of things across some sea,
I don't even have a master plan,
I guess that I am just a simple man.
Where do robins sleep on the road?
Why write words that we have to erase?
Why does everyone have more than one face?

Lobo A Simple Man Comments
Times were simple and so great in this era I grew up in and it the sixties but the seventies were one of the best ever..life was good and prices were so cheap to what they have today..and the people that never experienced this era will never know how great it was..and this music will live on forever..not like the stuff they have now a days. 😊
had this album...lend it ...wish i still had it...
Another early 70's pop gem. 😎

Awesome simple lyrics and beastly guitar.
one of the best Lobo songs.
Lobo is a great artist and son writer, his music spans the ages.
What is a son writer? Is that a writer who is a son?
Lobo....a very talented songwriter with amazingly beautiful shiny hair! This album cover was certainly intended to show his best asset!
Awesome, loved this song as a kid!
Grew up listening to this guy...loved him!

A tribute to my father-in-law....I've since learned how to play it on guitar....we've lost the true meaning of songs...but this captures something that noone now grasps...A Simple Man..."The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis"
