Very catchy song. I first heard this as part of a Halo GMV that no longer exists on YouTube. While I am against political legislation that micromanages the individual, there is definitely truth to this song. As a society there is a need to become responsible for the way we are trashing the environment. I will probably never vote for the current environmentalist agenda, but I definitely bring awareness to the need to change our habits.

So many people making comments that clearly don't know their history or what genres are what. Their early stuff was heavily rockabilly/psychobilly, surf and punk influenced. Roll On added an ACDC sound, probably to compete with Indy bands coming out at the time but was still really good. After that they matured and sadly their special sound got watered down. It's still in there but not the same. This is why they're a 3-piece band with an upright bass. True 50s rock and rockabilly style and sound.

I truly love this band. I have many of their CDs (yeah I guess I'm that old). A really hardcore clean-hearted band that I just happened to catch on a blip of TV years ago and couldn't stop listening (and buying) their music. Have never seen them live, but will always long for that!

Shame these guys never really made a dent here in the states. Their music got me through middle/high school.

I went to the Hyde Park BST Festival and I can safely say that despite Green Day's set being 4x as long as The Living End's, they completely, totally, utterly blew Green Day out of the park. Never had so much fun at a gig. Green Day on the other hand were so poor we left halfway through. BJA is actually incapable of playing a song all the way through without a 10 minute crowd participation bit. We came to see Green Day play songs, not the audience do that bit for them. Still, The Living End made my day with that gig. And Rancid. And The Hives. And The Damned.

They just never hit true fame, they didn't try to pander to hit mainstream like bowling for soup and others had done. also Wake up was another pretty big song from them and had quite a bit of radio/tv play. They also had 1-2 others but I don't recall their names, They're definitely more than a 1 hitter.

Punk rock should never try to hit the mainstream. Even then, Prisoner of Society spent 69 weeks on the ARIA charts and they made the Triple J hottest 100 10 years in a row which was a record at the time. These guys are hella succesful and respected which is a lot more than you can say of a lot of their punk peers at the time.

To me the living end is an original green day rip off without silly accents, a double bass and with Nathan Fillion as a front man... and that is probably the coolest thing to be.
