Little Richard - Why Don't You Love Me Lyrics

Why don't you love me like you used to do?
Why do you treat me like a worn out shoe?
My hair's curly and my heart is still true
A why don't you love me like you used to do?

Ain't had no huggin' and a kissin'
Squeezin' and I don't know why
I can't get near her, ho-oh
Closer than a country mile

I said why don't you spark me
Like you used to do
And say sweet nothin's
Like you used to do
The same old trouble
That you always been through
So why don't you love me
Like you used to do?

Ain't had no huggin' and a kissin'
Squeezin' and I don't know why
I can't get near her, ho-oh
Closer than a country mile

Ain't had no huggin' and a kissin'
Squeezin' and I don't know why
I can't get near her, oh-ho
Closer than a country mile

I say why don't you please
Just like you used to be?
How come you find
So many faults with me?
Somebody changed
Let me give you a clue
Why don't you love me
Like you used to do?

Ain't had no huggin' and a kissin' wooo!
Don't know why
I can't get near her, oh-no
Closer than a country mile

I say, why don't you love me
Like you used to do?
Why do you treat me like a worn out shoe?
My hair is curly and my heart is still true
Why don't you love me
Like you used to do?

Ain't had no huggin' and a kissin' wooo!
I don't know why
I can't get near her whoa-ho
Closer than a country mile

A why don't you love me
Like you used to do?
How come you treat me like a worn out shoe?
My hair is curly and my heart is still true
A why don't you love me like you used to do?

Ain't no had no huggin' or a kissin' wooo
I don't know why
I can't get near her, whoa-ho
Closer than a country miiiiiile

I said, why don't you love me
Like you used to do?
How come you find so many faults with me?
Somebody changed
A let me give you a clue
Why don't you love me
Like you used to do?

Ain't had no huggin' or a kissin' wooo
An I don't know why
I can't get near her, whoa-oh
Closer than a country mile

I said why don't you love me like you used to do.

And we don't need Jimi H. here any more, he was dead when this was recorded and that's that, good track anyway...!

Another good track from later L. Richard, how he has that powerful energy in him, it's amazing every time, again and again...!

Hendrix was already an exotic blues man by 1965. Recorded w. LR, 1964-1965. Listen also to I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'VE GOT BUT IT'S GOT ME, the 4:44 version and the alternative version at 4:04 (no harmony vocal); also DANCING ALL AROUND THE WORLD andYOU BETTER STOP, all w JH.

No way was Hendrix here. This song was cut April of 1971. Hendrix was with LR on his VeeJay recuts (12-64) and probably on the six vocals (HOUND DOG, etc.).

This is amazing! A Hank Williams tune recorded by Little Richard and featuring Jimi Hendrix. It's like going to music heaven.

@777RainingBlood That's because there's too much piano in it. Hendrix fans want to heat his guitar over Little Richards' piano. We also like distortion mixed in the guitar. I think Hendrix's music went wild only after he was introduced to LSD.
