I understand her perspective. It's about abusive relationships. I was abused as a child. I ran away. I still have nightmares of people touching me. I wake up screaming as if I have tourette's.

@It's Gadfly I'm sorry to hear that. Of course we often tend to project our own experiences onto works of art, but lyric-wise this song seems to be about unreciprocated love, not abusiveness. And her howling does little in terms of conveying emotions, mostly it's just annoying.

God brought a piece of the 70's to this generation who didnt get a chance to witness , a change.

Magnificent cover. Heard it on the radio and had a very rare 'who the hell is that' moment! Very brave person to cover such an iconic track but she does it superbly. Love it.
