I Remember getting of work one day and a friend called me , that chester was dead , and I thought it was a bad joke , while I was on my way home I played this song , woke up the next morning and the New headlines said that "chester bennington of linkin park has took his own life" Almost 3 years later I still love this song but it hard for me to listen to

I was twelve when LP was intruduced. Now I’m 30 and in all of my cars I have at least 2 of their CDs. Their music changed how I feel towards life. It helped me understand it. His voice was transcending. My biggest regret was not seeing them live, my wife bought me tickets for my birthday, that’s the show before he died. I got to go to the tribute show in LA and cried for someone I never met, but felt like was family all in one. “The sounds of your voice, painted on my memories” I won’t ever miss your because you and LP are a constant in my daily life, wether it’s in my car, at work while walking or at home while I show my two little girls who daddy’s favorite band is or in bed while I reminisce the childhood I had with LP by my side.

This is all so clear

Chester thank you for your all music you don’t know how much it has changed my life and you’ve inspired me to be a better person and a better father to my child.
You have opened my eye’s more than any band out there.

Today marks our 18th anniversary and this is our song. Hearing this song brings such sadness. It used to be a beautiful sadness but now that Chester is gone it takes it to another level. It is a reminder that you can have everything in the world but it still may not lift the weight this world can put on a beautiful soul. I hope anyone out there who's experienced pain on the deepest of levels seeks help. Your life is worth living.
