Lines, Aaron - It Takes A Man Lyrics
She locked her fingers
Bowed her head
She said I'm late
And I'm really scared
You can go
I'm gonna keep it
Either way
In my daddy's El Camino
In her driveway in the rain
Staring through the windshield
I can see my future change
And my heart hit like a hammer
And my thoughts were running wild
Any fool can make a baby
It takes a man to raise a child
Laid my head
Down on the wheel
She said I know, I know
It don't seem real
She closed her eyes
But the tears broke though
She said don't hate me
For loving you
In my daddy's El Camino
In her driveway in the rain
Staring through the windshield
I can see my future change
And my heart hit like a hammer
And my thoughts were running wild
Any fool can make a baby
It takes a man to raise a child
I could not reassure her
Couldn't say what I had planned
Couldn't put three words together
So I just took her hand
In my daddy's El Camino
In her driveway in the rain
Staring through the windshield
I can see my future change
And my heart hit like a hammer
And my thoughts were running wild
Any fool can make a baby
It takes a man to raise a child

Beautiful love it 2019
I impregnated a lady when i was 23, I was young and my job was paying only KSh 7000 monthly. but since i didn't want a miserable life for my kid, and for the love i had for the lady, i welcomed her in my place, worked harder and harder for them, now I'm 27, stable and my kid is in Nursery. this song makes me feel a MAB
I sing this song to my dad cuz my real dad made me and my step dad stand up and be a dad to me.
I'm young. I'm scared.
I've always been great with children and could not wait to be a mother. When taking care of kids I never screwed up, I made them happy, did something right.
Well now I'm pregnant. Luckly my boyfriend is thrilled, he cannot wait to be a father. We both know what it's like to have parents who don't care and/or mean and we plan to give our child a better life than we received.
I know being a young parent isn't easy but it doesn't mean I am incapable of properly careing for this maricle. Yes some young parents give their child a bad life but not all. We can love them and care for them just as much if we had them later in life.
I am young. I am scared.
But
I am not alone. I can do this.
my mother was seventeen when she got pregnant with me. my "father" was a fool. my step-dad came in when I was nine, but HE'S the man that raised me! my sister is sixteen and pregnant...I wonder if he'll be a fool, or a man? (he's living with us right now, so he can't run...but he's very irresponsible and incredibly rude to us...)
Chris youngs is better.
Love this song!
dayumn this guy is amazing live!!! <3
Chris Youngs version of this is amazing. And so is this !
same with me my dad left the day i was born he was a fool and i only met him once all i have now is my mom and step dad who is a real man
I'm usually not a big fan of country music, normally can't stand it actually, but Aaron Lines has a beautiful voice and wonderfully written lyrics. I appreciate the sort of upbeat tone, whether the song is about a mistake, like a child out of wedlock, or how deeply in love you are with someone; It's refreshing and I enjoy it very much.
@danielle boyer I'm goin' thru the same thing
@ daniel boyer I have the same thing goin on.

Love this song. I grew up without my dad because he wasn't a man and still isn't. So props to my mom for standing her ground!
I grew up without my mom and dad next to me. I was raised by my grandparents, not trying to one up you...I’m like 7 years late haha
