The original is a great tune but, as always, Linda just takes it to another level completely. Her band refines the arrangement brilliantly and Linda sharpens the melody to the bone with her incredible voice.

I love Linda's voice and music, and I think she does Willin better than anyone I've ever heard.

God Bless Lowell George who worked at that hole in the wall truck stop at Ventura California to be able to lay witness to us old outlaw truckers from back in the seventies and thank God for Linda Ronstadt for bringing a tear to my eye everytime I hear her sing it.

I wish I could see her live. She is one of my favorite singers of all time. She could do no wrong with that voice.

Truly one of the greatest trucking songs of all time. Perfectly captured a decade. How Lowell George was able to come up with this I don't know. He was never a trucker. I only guess he knew a lot of them.

Saw the movie last night, three different times, cried like Niagra Falls.
Had the 8 track of Heart Like A Wheel when I was ten.

My God she was Hot.

I was blessed to have seen her play live, way back in 1977 with The EAGLES and JACKSON BROWNE for my very first concert. I still have my ticket stub, and I will NEVER forget that day. I was 16, it was outdoor, and I think we were probably 100 yards(if that) from the stage. She is the QUEEN of rock and roll, and it truly saddens me that her wonderful, gorgeous singing voice has been silenced! She will live on forever, and there will NEVER be another LINDA RONSTADT! Thank you for the beautiful music and those awesome vocal chords! We love you Linda.

One of the greats; could sing different genres with ease coupled with a beautiful voice.

How I have adored her music! the quintessential country singer who could sing anything. And no one was more beautiful. Not so sure about her political persuasions... :-)

To think this union began spontaneously. Most of the Eagles began as studio musicians playing behind Linda.  The studio supervisor asked all the boys to stick around.  They formed the Eagles.

Interesting about the orig. artist. Lowell George wrote it. Sea Train Recorded it. THEN Little Feat recorded it. Then a year later Lowell George joined Little Feat. The original recording by Sea Train was the best one IMO.

I remember Linda and Lowell prforming this song live over the air on WHFS in Betheda MD back in the early 70's (RIP WHFS).

I seen her live in jackson mlss. at the coliseum she will always be as great as she was that night
