Linda Ronstadt - Rescue Me Lyrics

Rescue me
I want you in my arms
Rescue me
I need your tender charms
Cause I'm lonely and I'm blue
I need you and your love too
Come on and rescue me
Come on baby and rescue me
Come on baby can't you see
That I need you by my side
Can't you see that I'm lonely
Rescue me.

Come on and take my heart
Take your love and conquer every part
Cause I need you by my side
Can't you see that I'm lonely

Rescue me
Come on and take my hand
Take my love I want you for my man
Cause I'm lonely and I'm blue
I need you and your love too
Come on and rescue me

Come on baby and rescue me
Come on baby can't you see
That I need you by my side
Can't you see that I'm lonely

Love me baby
Hold me baby
Kiss me baby
Squeeze me baby
Oh baby help me baby
Oh baby Ah baby

This is the song which introduced me to Linda Ronstadt. I heard this version before I heard of the original by Fontella Bass.

  4. M.... A....

The really high notes were sung by Randy Meisner!!!

    Very interesting fact!

I remember being stunned that these guys could sound line chicks singing background.

Many of those guys sang higher than the female singers, too. And I love when I sing along with a song and the male artist hits notes I almost can't reach. Have to struggle to reach. Very cool.

Duey Pfeifer: I hate to be stupid, but what exactly do you mean by guys sound lineing chicks? Do you mean as backing vocalists?

Unbeknownst to me at the time, this is the first time I ever heard the Eagles. A buddy of mine had this album for awhile & one day I read the liner notes & Frey, Henley, Meisner & Leadon were the studio musicians. By that time I had the first Eagles album so I knew her band sounded familiar. You can clearly hear Glen answering her vocals at the end. Those boys were tight as ever back then!

    Happy Birthday Sweet Linda!😘
