Perfidia is one of the most beautiful popular songs ever done. Ronstadt's version is as good as all, altho I prefer the classic Dorothy Lamour version. In addition to the melody, the Latin rhythm is par excellence.

I'll weigh in by calling this version of "Perfidia" nothing less than sublime.  Linda's pipes translate beautiful into Spanish.  Apparently she has thick Mexican heritage running through her family.  In this recording, it's also worth paying conscious attention to the exquisite arrangement of horns throughout.

Total bullshit Ronstadt has this song nailed to the wall. It is a bolero and she does it perfectly. It is surprising since it is clear she is not a native speaker. Her timing is impeccable and the wording is perfect.
