Linda Ronstadt - All That You Dream Lyrics
I've been down but not like this before
Can't be 'round this kind of show no more
All, all that you dream
Comes through shining silver lining clouds
Rain starts washing all those cautions into your life
Makes you realize just what is true
What else can you do
Just follow the rules
Keep your eyes on the road that's ahead of you
I've been down but not like this before
Can't be 'round this kind of show no more
All of the good times were ours
Time, time adds its scars
Rainy days they turn to sunny ones
Living the life, living the life, loving everyone
I've been down but not like this before
Can't be 'round this kind of show no more
I've been down but not like this before
Can't be 'round this kind of show no more

Linda Ronstadt All That You Dream Comments
In the Rolling Stone review of this album (which they didn't love, big surprise), they said on this track she "obliterated the original". This and "Allison"were the two tracks they like.
I don't understand why this song was never released as a top 40 hit single. This song rocked back in 1978/1979.
Lowell would approve
Passionate power. Much more than her hits. Seeing and hearing her in concert was very special.
Nice live version. My favorite song from it's album Living in the USA. Plus, she looks great here. ;-)
WHAT PIPES !!!!!
bigbadnad that was my first thought!!

Someone put a list of the best selling female artists of the 70s together on youtube and she wasn't on it. Kind of amusing since she is acknowledged as the best selling female artist of the 70s and the First and ONLY female artist to sell out stadiums at the time.
Devil with a blue dress on ... daaaaaaaamnnnn
She sang a lot of great stuff, but I have a soft spot for this song. Great live version. 2:41 goosebumps!
Ernesto, I get goosebumps at that exact same spot. Her voice is amazing and she is a true legend. No other female singer comes close to the magic, power & talent that is Linda.
That's what brought me here this morning (05-14-19). It popped up on my iTunes playlist and I had to slide it back to that part because I was suddenly engaged in defensive driving maneuvers!
I just wish they'd shown the syn drums making their "pooo-pooo" sounds!
One of my favorite songs buy her ...... and dig that dress! ;-)
Nessus07
I think this is a show in Japan which would explain that style dress.
@happy gay conservative It looked like she kind of regretted the tight collar decision, though (lol)!
(Tugs, tries to unbutton, tugs again: "Get this motherfuc thing... off of) All of the good time were ours, in the land of milk and honey..."
Linda made this tune important - especially live. Glorious singer fine band,
She is all you need - great, flexible, raw singer. Grab the mike and let go.
I saw Paul Barriere once and he said he wrote this song after his break up with Bonnie Raitt-poetic stuff. her voice here is right on the money
0:50 she turns it on! Whoa.
What a lady.n
would somebody upload this whole show? her vocals are really amazing here, not to mention that she really looks terrific at this time.
Whew, that was mesmerizing! Linda was a vocal powerhouse. Nothing else on earth quite like Ronstadt - when she's nailing it.
This rocks....
One of the greatest of all....Bless Linda..
She seems don't like the Cheongsam!
She's always been amazing and does a fantastic job on this song.
Patty Lyons This and Blue Bayou are my favorites
Awesome song!
Ah, thanks for sharing...LOL! I seriously doubt that you were the only one! ;)
How many sweet lazy languid hours did I spend as a kid in the 1970s dreaming about Linda dancing naked on a beach in S Cal for JUST ME? Then my mom would push my bedroom door open without knocking.Result? No mother/son eye contact for at least 3 days.
Ah but Linda you were worth every bit of the humiliation I suffered under my mother's guilt inducing glare.
Great story of pubescent self love and embarrassment. And yes I agree - Linda was worth every bit of it..! She was incredible. So sad about her disease.
Can't wait to see her next week in NYC for her book signing!!! Thanks for posting these vids! ...you have a great collection of her doing what she did best! :)))
Greatest Female Rocker..no one close!
do you have the whole show? any way to get a dvd-r copy?
Great song & she looks & sounds great! Let's get her into the rock & roll hall of fame ya think?
The pedal steel on this tune is exceptionally tasty.
elainezfw only now I realize it -on the record I thought they were keyboards.
this is great thanks
1978 tour.......my favorite song off of "Living in the USA" and I think, one of the best songs she ever did. Great vocal on this track. Check it out. This live version is very good too.
Man!! I have been waiting for this song/vid for so long now!! Thanks jpspanisfan3!!
@Drillin4Oil I totally agree. Her voice didn't sound quite as good before, or after this! She came close during the Mariachi performances - saw her live in '87 and she blew me away.
Linda's voice was never slicker than here. It's like slapping fudge on the slate. Her best singing ever, I think.
Thanks for that--loved it!
Linda and her band were at the top of their game on this great Lowell George song. Linda looked stunning as well.
