apparently they say ham died because they knew each other too well. aaron was laid back, always watching and waiting. he wouldn't be the type to shoot, but he thought ham would be. he seen ham as impulsive and reckless. so burr thought ham would shoot and ham thought burr wouldn't shoot, so they did what they did because they knew each other too much

I know people have Probably said this before but, we shouldn’t see Burr as a bad person. Even if he meant to kill Hamilton, he did it so that his daughter wouldn’t become an orphan, like him. If Hamilton died, his children still had Eliza left to care for them.

There’s also the possibility that Burr meant to throw away his shot or to hit Hamilton in a way that was non-fatal. As he said “My fellow soldiers’ll tell you, I’m a terrible shot.” So it is possible that he missed where he was aiming, and hit Alexander between the ribs, definitely a more fatal spot.

Ok ok, so everyone’s saying that Hamilton’s part shouldn’t have been deleted.
Which I KIIIIINDA agree with. I would have liked to see it in the musical, especially since it draws such amazing comparisons with the glasses(I could go into that so much but I won’t) and mentions Phillip.

I was a little upset it skipped his whole "I imagine death so much it feels more like a memory!" speech, but then it gave him a whole part to himself that was from Ham's perspective, which I was always curious about, so I'm happy (^3^)

Just realized, of course Burr would shoot, because A. Ham was wearing glasses probably meant he was trying to actually aim. Meaning he would shoot. But didn't. Also, Hamilton's one to just do and not think, but Burr's one to stop and wait for something to happen. IT MAKES SENSE.

I do prefer 'The World was Wide Enough', Hamilton's so-said desperate monologue was more emotional than this. Although, this is still a good song.
