The thing I love about LIGHTS is she is so original, she doesn't change herself for anything, she's so pure in her works. And she requires no vocal editing whatsoever, she sounds exactly the same live as she does on disc if not better. Long live Lights<3

I really love her acoustic music so much, ahhhh! Quiet, Lions!, The Listening, Cactus in the Valley (especially this one), February Air . . there are too many to name! She's such a great artist. I just wish that when she gets famous, everyone will understand that she's a special kind of musician and artist. :DD

@justalittlecloud I was a little shocked when I heard Ice. But in almost no time it grew on me. I appreciate her so much, since she can turn (almost as if it is easy for her) her pop songs into equally amazing acoustic songs. I would love to hear the rest of her "dark acoustic songs." She mentioned that Romance Is.. and The Pity Scene were written when she was going through her "dark" phase. But back to what we were talking about, I love her raw emotion in this song.

@justalittlecloud I completely agree. I began listening to her in the summer of last year. And at first, I heard all of her non-album songs! I first heard In The Dark I See and fell in love with her. With time I began exploring her more and more and heard Pity Scene, her cover of Joga, and Cactus in the Valley (before it was on Siberia). The more I listened to her the more I began to understand her image. To this day, LIGHTS is one of my biggest influences in my musical career and I LOVE her!!

Her real name is Valerie Poxleitner.
& I was really excited to go to school because Lights went there.
She is a real inspiration because it just goes to show that a girl from a very small town in Canada can live her dreams and become a singer/song writer.
