I was very disappointed at the time this came out they strayed away from the River Runs Red sound, but the album grew on me, different but still a very solid record.

Same thing. I really disliked this when it came out. I felt like they sold out. This grew on me pretty fast though. I was REALLY let down when Soul Searching came out. I saw them play hardcore shows and people were throwing stuff at them and Mina (Keith then) got into an argument with some skin at one show and spit at him. People loved them so they took the changes hard.

As an almost 50 year old I really like the mellow stuff now. I'm not as inclined to get into a pit anymore and just love the emotion in the vocals. After she came out a few years ago it became really clear what an inner struggle must have been going on.

I agree. i was also mostly referring to the vocal work done by keith on this album. the music was really good, but what stood out for me and left a lasting impression was the amount of emotion he put into the singing. brutal, honest, raw, and moving all at the same time!!!
