I'm sorry, but no matter what the 'explanation' - and I am none the wiser despite reading your reasoning a couple of times - but this video is crass. I would be ruder but there is little point. The video is made. I would question the integrity of the script [ha!] writer, the storyboarder, the director, the management etc in allowing such drivel and, worse, pastiche to be allowed to go ahead.
It ill behoves any artist to allow this nonsense to be made and shown in public.
Unacceptable.

...the other thing that we wanted to get across was that music videos seem to have a lot of flesh in the recent months. as a guy, i think that it's pretty sweet but i understand that it's complete turkey. i'm not saying that blurred lines or wrecking ball wouldn't be bangers without their respective videos but it is a bit over the top, right ? and, personally, i feel like they take away from the songs. just me though probably....

so a few people have been asking what the theme of the video is all about which is cool, and also creating their own theories (i'd love a lesbian girlfriend and/or a big orgy but, alas, i've been left empty-handed)

this is actually the second video that we shot for this song because i felt that the first video lacked meaning and that's what i'm all about (that and orange sherbet)

The video, is amazing. Don't judge it when you have absolutely no idea what its about, it has multiple relations, its just they aren't that obvious.

The video is about him cheating, on his girlfriend (the girl who walks out the door)
And he knows that even if he apologises, that he has to do much more to obtain her trust again, and that she may never fully trust him again, so hes trying to convince her, ignoring the girls that are trying to tempt him, because hes only focusing on that one girl that he may never get back with. And his regret grows worse knowing he lost her, for making a stupid decision, and now he knows better.

this is my interpretation of the video:
maybe, he cheated on his girlfriend and he knows that no matter how much he apologises, she will never fully trust him. all these girls representing "temptation", but him ignoring the girls shows he is genuinely sorry and wants to gain his girlfriend's trust again. but sometimes, apologies aren't good enough and no matter what he does, he can't get her trust back
