The chorus really reminds me of Nine Inch Nails - We're In This Together's chorus!

One day, I would love to do a music video for this :') I can imagine a couple, who have both been seriously injured in a car crash, on a freezing cold night. They are put on life support in the back of an ambulance (they are losing lots of blood, looking very pale) and as it's speeding along, the couple are miming along to Reluctantly Dead, tapping their feet and hands, no expression. The video shows their manic journey to hospital, being pushed through the wards, seeing other half-dead patients (who are also singing along, some with even more gruesome injuries) and the sequence will end with their eventual deaths.

This song reminds me of my first marriage, seriously tho not trying to be funny. Great song too

a band can still be heavy, hold a strong, booming sound and not project harsh vocals over shredding guitars and complex drums. letlive live is even bigger than the record. you need to experience every component of theirs. this album fits their catalog. it fills the cracks of what was missing up to this point.

i usually love harder music, like their last album, but i love this one too. i think that no matter what song they put out, i will love it because Jason's voice fits with every genre (so far). i just love this band lol

these guys were absolutely insane live...almost made me cry when he said that he didn't know how much time he got left and the meds are too expensive for him to get well, and then they played this song...he also crowdsurfed and went in the middle of the audience and climbed up a big metal post and sang from up there...one of the best and craziest concerts I've been to

i was on my run for the day and this song started to play i was diging it untill the song scared the living shit out of me. at the start of the song and bits in between the entire song there is like what sounds like a bird or something in the left ear of the earphones its very suttle untill u hear it (if u are listening with earphones) i triped broke my headphones just because of a sound that sounded right beside me haha

A lot of y'all sound really close-minded when it comes to letlive. and their musical direction, which is disappointing considering how innovative they are. You're expecting all fast, punk songs when not only is this one single from the album, but they also had slow songs like Muther and Virgin Dirt from each album. On top of that, Jason even said in an interview, he hopes people don't go into listening to letlive. exclusively expecting a specific theme or sound. And that's why this song isn't appealing at a first glance to some of you.
I encourage everyone to listen to it a second, third, fourth time, or more, and really pay attention. (Also, look up that interview)

It's strange how some people think this sounds like pop. What, because they don't scream or go crazy, they're pop? Simple minded fools, Letlive. have always labelled themselves as a rock band, and this is no shortness of being a hell of a rock song.

Every time I hear the "youuuuuu and meeeeee" in the chorus I immediately think of We're In This Together by Nine Inch Nails. Great track though.

I personally like the song. But a lot of these people gotta understand, it is different. So many people get all defensive when criticism comes against their opinion, even if it's true. This song lacks that energy and craziness a lot of Letlive. fans love, there's no denying it. It's like if your favourite pizza place changed their pizza sauce. Still great service, same great crust and ingredients, but a key ingredient has changed. Whether the new sauce is desirable or less than so, it's definitely different, and some will always miss the old sauce. So think twice before you start preaching about following the "bands direction". Some people just miss their classic pizza.

it's so funny when people say they are "disappointed" to hear a new song, as if the band had signed a contract to keep doing the same music they were doing in the first album. come on. it's nice to think that the band is doing what they want to do.

+Gherkin yea bands can release whatever they want, im not gonna argue that. what cant you understand about someone liking a bands sound and then being disappointed when they get something else. theres nothing wrong with that either. letlive used to be my Favorite band and if this is what they want to put out now, i wish them well, but for me what ive heard so far lacks the intensity the last 2 albums had and for me thats what i loved about them. maybe me and letlive have just out grown each other

It's like ordering pizza and getting salad, yeah salad's good, but I wouldn't mind a refund. I kinda feel bad for all the people who preordered it. This sounds like an album that Fall Out Boy could've done, and that saddens me because ll. is fucking amazing and could outwrite fob any day.

Kind of weird to hear a letlive. song that doesn't have the wild, crazy part. Got a lot of groove to it though, which is awesome, and the lyrics are incredible. This song and Good Mourning America are similar in that way, but Good Mourning America has parts where you do get crazy. I hope the album has a bit more of that wildness too, as opposed to mostly-groove, soul aspects. But that's just my own preferences, I know I'll love the album anyway.

Tame, yeah, not as energetic and crazy and raw, but I love it. Foreign Cab Rides is incredible.

It's one fucking soft song, and I see so much bitching and worrying. letlive is never going to stop bringing the chaos, I promise. Stop complaining about one song being a little different. God forbid a band tries to do something different for ONE SONG.

And btw, I'm really digging this song. There's still a lot of emotion here, and I like the change of pace.

+DustinPoynter I love the song, but it is a very soft song. It's like 'letlive. does pop', haha. The band is great at blending catchy, groovy parts with craziness and chaos, that's what makes them so amazing. I've noticed that the two songs we've heard contain more of the former than the latter, so I do hope we get a few songs with more aggressive and raw sound, or a mixture of it. Bands change their sound sometimes, so it's not like they're guaranteed to NEVER change their sound, but yeah, I don't think this song is representative of the album as a whole.

@Jason Clarke I personally don't think it's bad if a band like letlive tries a softer approach sometimes. I really enjoy to hear another side of bands like this, because a lot of times they have more to offer than just headbanging riffs and aggression. I love Jason's voice in this song. You can definitely hear the soul in his voice. And that signature aggression will always be there. They even said so to a commenter on Facebook. This song is just another side of them, it's not who they are becoming.

Talk to me 2 months ago and i'd have said letlive were my favourite band, ask me now and i'll tell you I am thoroughly disappointed with the quality, simpleness and ill-written songs they are currently releasing. We want Fake History back.

Regardless, I'm not the only one who agrees that the music they're producing isn't on par with their previous releases, I'd ask you to remove yourself from their anal orifice and to listen comparatively between letlive and their older content. Fake History got me into letlive and Black Beautiful reassured my love for them, these songs do not give me the same emotions nor do they provide such good listening that their previous two albums do, if it's different for you then it's different for you, but as a person who genuinely does live and breathe letlive, i'd say my argument has some validity.

This is decent like, but I'll be seriously disappointed if this and Good Mourning America are representative of the album, they're both good songs in their own right and I like them, but they're not what I got into ll. for.

+Scott MacWatters as I said, I like this song and good mourning America and I won't stop listening to them if the album is like this, because it's their music and they have to like it before it gets out there, I just said I'd be a bit disappointed because they're one of my favourite bands and The Blackest Beautiful is one of my favourite albums of all time so, yeah I guess I'd just feel a bit letdown because it wasn't what I was hoping for, I do like this though. It's soulful and emotional. :)
