it is funny to know that i just heard this song the last month or so what is more amazing for me it tells my life story of what happened to me in my young days what more amazing i think it happened about 1983? ye true perhaps it tells many other peoples life at a point of time? well i am enjoyed loving this song how did the writer ever know part of my life story? perhaps it happened also to him? or whatever? anyway i am in a new band and we are to perform this song i am the keyboard player and one of the singers girl you know who you are if you are free look me up i still love you 53 now and still love you i did search the world over but did not find you look me up perhaps you find me? i write this in case you read it?

Lovely album!  Full of an enchanting mixture of songs.  We used to listen to this album on cassette in the car on summer holidays in the mid 80s.  I love this song, Orchard Road and Heart stop beating in time.

The song was written by Andy Hill, John Danter and Pete Sinfield, who also co wrote  Making Your Mind Up and The Land Of Make Believe for Bucks Fizz.
Andy Hill first sung the song as lead vocalist in 1981 with his group Gem for the Song for Europe Contest that year and then later re -recordeded it when he was in the group Paris. Leo Sayer then covered it.

I was 15 when this song came out.  I was really into this girl called Sheila.  We dated a couple of times, but it didn't work out.  It was the first time I had felt heartache.  It was devastating.  It makes me laugh now but at the time this song had me in tears :-) Teen-hood hormones. :-)
