Underrated AF

The "vibe" of this song was always weird to me. It's a song about a lover that's gone away, but the lullaby-style music and the repeated use of "baby" makes it feel like a song you sing to your daughter. I always envisioned a music video of a father flipping through a photo album from start to finish, capturing everything from bringing his daughter home from the hospital to giving her away at her wedding. Then, from behind his seat, two hands cover his eyes. The hands belong to his granddaughter who is the spitting-image of her mother. She takes him by the hand and they go outside. His daughter walks in after them and sits in the chair he was in. She picks up the photo album and sees something wrapped with her name on it. She unwraps it to find a mini album with photos of her daughter. The daughter follows them outside and snaps a photo of them on the porch swing, granddaughter fast asleep in his lap, just like she used to be. Dad FINALLY got his friend back.
