What's funny is when I first started listening to John Legend I thought he was one of the few morally astute individuals in the music industry. But after listening to more and more of his songs it's apparent that he really isn't in some aspects (not all). I still do enjoy his music quite a bit though, and he does have some thought-provoking songs like "Show Me" for example.
