Having searched for the songs I am liking of Brenda,the only place to find them is YouTube .

It must mean something good when a song you're hearing for the first time almost instantly gives you goose flesh.....In spite of the great wisdom of the suits at MCA.

A little clarification is needed about the picture @ 3:26 . The recording contract was actually signed May 21, 1956 by Brenda's mother. The picture is likely May 26 or possibly June 23. I think there were "Junior Jubilee" editions on those dates.

Yes....Brenda gets dropped after carrying the label for decades while singing like no one else ever could or probably ever will.  Her range of songs and emotions are just....too far out there.  Thank you for searching and coming up with new gems.

@Mostly Brenda did she later file a suit about this and received a settlement with a non-disclosure agreement?

@Russ As the video says, there was a money settlement with the amount being undisclosed. By "settlement", did you mean something else? In my opinion, I think her record sales are under reported and we really don't know how many records she actually sold.

@Mostly Brenda Some of this was mentioned in her biography. I would need to re-read that portion of the book to know what motivated her & Ronnie to seek legal action besides MCA (Decca) dropping her from their label.

@Russ No, it had nothing to do with being dropped by MCA. It was Ronnie who noticed that the accounting just didn't add up. The main discrepancy was sales outside the US.
