LeDoux, Chris - He Rides The Wild Horses Lyrics

Just a rodeo drifter, he comes and he goes,
Like a wild wind that blows in the night.
The highways and backroads are all that he knows,
He'll be gone with the mornin' grey light.

Like a blue norther howlin' like the tumbleweeds blow,
There's no way to settle him down.
His spirit's as wild as the horses he rides,
His freedom he wears like a crown.

And he rides the wild horses,
The same blood flows through their veins.
Yes he rides the wild horses,
Like the horses he'll never be tamed.

He'll never be broke, he won'T be tied down,
He'll never wear no man's brand.
He won't fit in with the nine to five crowd
Cause movin' all he understands.

And he rides the wild horses,
The same blood flows through their veins.
Yes he rides the wild horses,
Like the horses he'll never be tamed.

And he rides the wild horses,
The same blood flows through their veins.
Yes he rides the wild horses,
Like the horses he'll never be tamed.

This song always makes me choke up because it reminds me of my Grandpa Gordon who died when I was four but I still have some memories of him. My mom told me that even though he left us early, he was already proud of me and my brother.
RIP Chris LeDoux and RIP Gordon Reinhart

This song was my grandfathers favorite song. He passed away yesterday. 6/22/2018. Love ya grandpa.

Dallon but I will haunt all of my family if they don't play Highway to Hell at my funeral. Hell I will ride Caballo Diablo to hell on the Highway to get there. God must be a Cowboy at heart though.

Sorry for your grandpa but honestly he is in a better place. Maybe he don't have to deal with all the bullshit in this world anymore and if he is anything like me he is riding in the saddle and thinks you young uns are just the biggest idiots that have ever been.

Hell old timers like me have only lived half the lives that you guys should ever be so lucky to live. I have two cutting horses that I actually paid money for and "adopted" and I would not sell them for any amount of money but "I" broke them for the saddle and taught them how to cut. Well one I am still teaching and spur him pretty hard. Well....

I won't say where I got them but both are stallions and not geldings and yeah the yougun gets a little hard to ride so I have to use the spurs that hurt. I will never geld either one and I get some good stud fees for the old timer. If he dies before I do I will cry and I never cry at a funeral but I will cry for him though. We have been together for damn near 20 years and he is getting a little long in the tooth and he can still kick my ass or throw me if he wants but he don't.

One thing you really have to think of is that none of us ever get off this planet alive. We all gotta die to get to Heaven but no one is volunteering to ride there.

When you get a litter older then you may not find a lot of what I said so offensive but I will say God Bless your Grandpa. I will prolly see him before you do again and just belly up to the bar.

I guess what I am actually saying is don't be sad. Just hope for the best and that is hard to do but we all face that day one day. Yeah we are all sad then go but... We should reflect on where they are now and how much it sux for us still. My own wife asked me this question about her own gandma and grandpa and I gave an honest answer of "Fuck You"! It sounds harsh but you will find out soon enough. If everything is true and they lived their lives why interfere in yours? She wanted signs and I reckon when I die either or or whatever else.

I hate to sound uncaring but... if I ever get a diagnosis I will be "Reincarnated" as Coyote Shit. I will just disappear. In 100 years or 200 years what will it matter? Life goes on and you should never stop.
