LeDoux, Chris - For Your Love Lyrics
For your love I'd rope the moon put it in a blender
Mix up a concoction bound to make you surrender
I'd bite the brand off a buckin' brahma bull
I'd rob me a gin mill then I'd fill the ocean full
I'd take on the army and the her majesty's marines
For your love I'd stop a freight train single handed
I would straighten out the bends in the Rio Grande
I'd climb up the tower at the TV station
Broadcast my affection to the United Nations
I'd take on the government in Washington DC
Your love ain't just the engine it's a rockin' machine
For your love I'd stop the hands of time
For your love I'd dig a diamond mine
Yes I would.
For your love I'd walk a tight rope wrestle anacondas
Jump a motorcycle over half-a-dozen Hondas
Carve your initials on a forest of bamboo
Paint the Brooklyn Bridge baby pink with a broom
I'd take on the press from Tokyo to Praga
Your love ain't just the hot sauce it's the whole enchilada
For your love I'd stop the hands of time
For your love I'd dig a diamond mine
For your love I'd do it all the time
Day and night

LeDoux, Chris For Your Love Comments
He had such an amazing spirit!
I love both Chris and George, They are both great in their own unique style. But Who can tell me how can I find the original version of Amarillo by morning... I always though that George Strait was the original. Greetings from New Jersey people. We love country music down here too.
actually Amarillo by morning was originally recorded by Terry Stafford
Such a loss to the world of music. I'm a city boy who loves rural America and especially the music of Chris LeDoux.
Him, Keith Whitley, Daryle Singletary, Laurie White, Mindy McCready and Kevin Sharp. Six artists from modern country who left us way too soon 😭
Died too soon. Wish I could have at least shook his hand.
I remember watching this on GAC's top 20 as a kid!
Chris was one of a kind. I sure miss our arguments over whether of not the ladies should ride rough stock or not. Boy, was he stubborn. (I said we should be able to and he was not budging with his NO!) Gone way too soon. <3
Sipped some good Irish whiskey with my new friend KW (drummer) in B****** North Dakota tonight, great guy.
I love this song and all the others. RIP Chris Ledoux
Chris Ledoux lived in Kaycee, Wyoming. Not much there.
Long after he was gone I happened to be passing on the interstate by the sleepy little town of Caycee. I love that little town. SO tiny. Stopped at a tack shop just to ask about him and turns out the old man was his daddy-in-law. Peg's dad. Also turns out that Chris was co-owner of that little tack shop. I don't know what it was about Chirs. Didn't know even of him til Garth cept maybe hearing his name once or twice in passing growing up. As I'm from the east I never knew him personal and I'll be honest, never even saw a concert. But there was something about him. Just something about him that I admired. He had a certain spirit about him. I know he might have had a few bad guys but seemed like his HEART was just close to the Lord. I think that is what drew me to him. Something just stood out beyond the music that spoke to my gut. I remember even crying a little when I heard of his passing. His daddy in law and I sat in a rocking chair in his little tack shop talking about Chris for probably an hour or two. Peg's dad is a awesome old cowboy. Hope one day to meet Peggy. She had to be a real treasure and it'd be an honor to meet his better half. This is one of the funnest videos I've ever seen. You could tell the guys had uber fun making it. He was unsung for the most part. Except for the ones that connected with him. Don't think anybody will be able to fill those cowboy boots. He was a brand that was only used once and then God hung it up. A true one of a kind. I wish I'd have known him before he passed.
Cowboy keep singing cuntry you are did far far from fingering it out but one of your balls might drop if your lucky unlike your song lo e Jeff not his bichy ass neighbor hahaha jk

One of the most entertaining concerts I went to. He went way to young. I will always wonder what songs he could have made. Very sad loss.
R I P. Cuz
He was a silver dollar in a world full of pennies.
21 people made me cry today but a 1000+ let me smile
I feel like this man had way too much fun in this video! Lol! If only there were more country artists like him today
Not just this video, I saw him live a few times, it was a full on festival on the stage each time. He really got into the music.
There should be more country artists like Chris LeDoux. He was and still is the greatest of all time.
Im afraid unless country goes thru some major changes those days will never be again.
R.I.P Chris!! He is riding that bull in the sky with a big smileB-)
the fucking KING!
LOL first time seeing this video. I didn't even know these videos existed. I bought nothing but cassette tapes and was on the circuit riding broncs and dippin Cope.
I hope he was right with Jesus Christ? I hope to see him in heaven praising the Lord Jesus forever.
I'm guessing so. He was a good man. It's too bad he left the world as young as he did.
I can tell you he wasn't a very religious man but he was very spiritual. His brother was a born again Christian but as far as I know Chris never went all the way with that. He sure was a good guy though, I can tell you that.
@Other299 Well he never really mentioned it in his songs. But who knows.
Think the only reason I could feel so close to him, never even speaking to him in person was because he was right with Jesus. Something about him just spoke to my gut. I 100% believe he was right with Jesus.
I don't think the Lord likes religion. But then born again aint religion. Something Jesus said you had to be. Maybe closer he got to his time, he made sure he got it right. In any event, there's a scripture that says (God speaking) "I will have mercy upon whom I will have mercy." So I hope if he didn't which I can't believe he didn't; but if he didn't; that God will have mercy on him cause I think he had a good heart.
Some kid below 12 says, "what is that device he is holding on the tower?". I say, "it is a camcorder back in the 90's". Lol ;)
Lol too funny makes us feel old they have no idea all the devices we had to use that a smartphone or an app can do now!
LOL Wow.

A great guy, singer,, family man, and cowboy. You will be forever missed.

RIP CHRIS ANOTHER GREAT ONE GONE LOVED HIM
Luv some Chris ledoux
My brother is the fiddle player! His name is Bill and he is AWESOME! There will never be another Chris...:(
Oh wow! He is AWESOME! lol True, Chris was a one of a kind. Your brother is quite the pedigree. Him, garth's fiddle player, Charlie Daniels and a guy named Jason Theiste who was the fiddle player for the now defunct (sadly) Smokin' Armadillos out of Bakersfield, CA. They all make up the best in the world!
this is kinda what i expected the music video to be like
The Crew classic Chris Ledoux music video.
I'll be honest. What I love most about this video are Chris' facial expressions <3
most cowboys can sing but not as great as chris ledoux
A REAL cowboy who could sing!
3.33 KISS
it disturbs me that chris brown comes up on the suggested searches list before Chris LeDoux...
RIP chris
There's an amazing live video of this song introduced by Tim McGraw and had Keith Urban and Charlie Daniels playing with him on the CMAs but I cannot find it. I wish he would've entered the time with video cameras and cell phones at the perfomances.
