I loved her from back in the days of Groove Theory....her voice is such a calming yet sensual instrument....

I spoke the lyrics to this song as a tribute to my grandmother (Diesel), who passed away on September 18, 2018, at her funeral. She was like my second mom and she loved me so deeply and I loved her. I especially recognize her absence now and know that I will never have anyone love me as much as she did. I miss her terribly and it's been super hard with her gone. I felt this song fully encompasses the love she had for me and how her love will continue to envelope me and live on for the rest of my life, even being passed on to my future children, despite her physical form no longer being present. Deep. Rest in peace Diesel. I miss and love you beyond. ❤️

beyonce has songs of this content that the media completely ignores. Esp on "I Am" all artists who have songs likes this get no commercial attention. They go highly ignored. its sad really. Even then, Amel is still a beautiful artist yet as Beyonce is too.

Amel is one of my fav artists, all her albums are great. I love Beyoncé too, but these girls shouldnt be compared at all, it's not even the same musical genre. This song is great and I can listen to it all the time, as with any of her songs lol :)

@puckus21 That just shows the wonders of autotune in regards to Beyonce's voice sounding the way it does. Have you seen her when she is in concert... O__O I was sooo surprised. Amel's voice has that graininess and it is not perfect so it has a resonance quite similar to a bass violin. I love it.

@GoldenLarkVoice I dont know about her running circles around Beyonce... Beyonce has a larger range, more control, clear focused tone, agility galore and she is even though out her range... the downside to beyonce's voice is that she is a bit thin at the top.
Amel has a cute voice and a rather small range and she is very uneven though her range, very unfocused pitch.
i think could be very marketable but her voice does need alot of help.

Beyonce jacked this beat from her. I forget the song name but I do know that this beat is on Beyonce's Deluxe Edition.

Oh and also she is exemplary in F and G notes (Upper chest and head notes) that is what makes her well...better. The genres of both artists are not that different either..but I am guessing you'd say that is an opinion???

Amel is INDEED UNDERrated and I have yet to understand why. Not only is she naturally beautiful, but talented and gifted. She has a unique style and true to herself and her music. It is a damn shame you have to result to "booty shakin'" or negative controversy to sell records. I love Amel and have been following her work since her Groove Theory days. I would love to see her win a Grammy someday :).

Amel is one of my favorite artists! She is VERY underrated. This is actually my favorite song of hers (along with "Trouble" that song is so cute! lol) The lyrics in this song just make you wanna cry, especially when you can relate directly to them. The kind of love she's talking about here, that's real love. True love, and there's nothing more powerful than that...
