Lanegan, Mark - Pendulum Lyrics
Jesus Christ been here and gone
What a painful price to pay
He's left his life in a thunderstorm
Tears cold dark eyes upon
Swing pendulum, swing low
Oh my Lord don't you bother me
I'm as tired as a man can be
I'm as tired as a man can be
Jesus Christ been here and gone
What a painful place to leave
With frost on the limbs of a cherry tree
This cold, cold wind is buryin' me
Swing pendulum, swing slow
Got no time to call my own
I'm as tired as a man can be
I'm as tired as a man can be

This whole album is just audio gold!
I remember listening to this during one of the toughest periods of my life & I gotta say this song helped me in ways most people will never understand ....Mark is a dark saint
great song
This song is too good to be such short :) Minimum one more verse could have been great :)
muito bom

beautiful glimpse back to the past
I love you Mark, always will do.
Love'it this song !
I can hear the whiskey falling thru his voice...oh yes.
Burned on my brain for life is the wooden "ball" with most of its paint worn off sitting in the Bodie schoolhouse. That damn globe to this day haunts me. I'd love to return and when I do, I'll be playing Lanegan's Pendulum on 11. Thanks for the memories!!
his voice was so beautiful back then...

Thank you Samantha!
Thank you! I cant take credit for the video in "dead on you" but I put it together. I liked this combo so much that when I found the other time lapse clips of the same ghost town I couldnt help but throw another together. Would love to do one for 'beggars blues". Such a bleak and atmospheric tune deserves some related imagery.
great work, the "dead on you" clip is even better
Thanks a lot!! I really appreciate it!! I do have my pix online. Primarily landscapes. Lots o desert southwest stuff. :) You can see them at collectiveone, dot, deviantart, dotcom
Yeah that was what I was asking. lol I think it worked perfectly...and those are really nice photos. That place is totally what you think of when you think ghost town. Also the Salton sea. I posted this video and got one of my friends into Mark.
I have been there if that is what you are asking. I shot the photos in the video. I wanted to create a visual of what his music makes me think or reminds me of. A Ghost Town to me is perfect. This one especially. A lot in common lyrically and the history of the town. Although its all in a personal interpretation, this is just mine and thought it worked well with his music. :)
Looking at the thumbnail to this I literally thought it was a comic...or computer animation...it looked surreal...you know?
Perfect images to capture his music. I wouldn't be surprised if he recorded an album there. You've been I assume?
hehe Glad you like it.
Does it need to be?
Thank ya!
what a chujowy teledysk what does it have in common with anything
damn right - the guy has lived through it all, he's so authentic! "he's a man of (VERY) few words, but they're all the right ones" :)
Great song and great pics!
You've stumbled across perfection with this combination. Thank you!
woooow!!!! fucking great!
Very nice.
What a song, what a video. Thanks a lot
I was in Bodie about 16 years ago and I think that your pics and the music by Lanegan have really captured the spirit of that ghost town. Great photos. Thanks for sharing.
"I'm as tired as a man can be"... brilliant!
monah7mama7zu I listened to this phrase when I was reading this
@kratomosphere I love these place too and in Italy we have a lot of ghost town.
Thanks and have a nice day.
@25tab Yes I did. When I visited this place the song was in my head during the visit. Thought I would put some of the photos I took to the song. I felt it worked well with the tune. Thank you much!
@aries55ify I agree! I love that place. I have a thing for ghost towns. :)
Thanks for the photos of Body, I was there 6 years ago, great place and great music!!
@25tab me too. Many nights with the space in front of me looking like the album cover. This song goes well with whiskey...
Thanks for a video for this one, finally.
Thank you for making this. One of my favorite songs for sipping whiskey pensively, and the photos complement it perfectly. Are you the photog?
Swing pendulum swing slow...
Beautiful
@heartattack0vine Thank you!
great song
