Mark's a genius. a vocalist for many generations, songwriter extraordinaire, busy as anything, a back catalogue many would die for & his collaborations have given him to fans of many types of music. his stuff with Soulsavers is *chef's kiss*. what am i saying? he could sing a dictionary & it'd be the best. :D

Well if it wasn't for pirating I probably wouldn't have started listening to Lanegan. I still like a physical album with liner notes, accompanying musicians (especially with Lanegan and Waits, but in general as well), and credits, but free distribution of music is actually what's keeping the business alive.

A lot of credit has to be given to Brook Benton for writing such a beautiful, haunting song. Bobby Bland was the first original performer of the song. I haven't heard a bad version of it yet. Gil Scott Heron is heartachingly good.
