Lake Street Dive - Walking On Walking On Broken Glass Lyrics
You were the sweetest thing that I ever knew
But I don't care for sugar honey if I can't have you
Since you abandoned me
My whole life has crashed
Won't you pick the pieces up
Walking on walking on broken glass
Walking on walking on broken glass
The sun's still shining in the big blue sky
But it don't mean nothing to me
Oh let the rain come down
Let the wind blow through me
I'm living in an empty room
With all the windows smashed
That it feels just like I'm walking on broken glass
Walking on walking on broken glass
Walking on walking on broken glass
And if you're trying to cut me down
You know that I might bleed
'Cause if you gonna try to cut me down
I know that you'll succeed
And if you want to hurt me
Well there's nothing left to fear
And if you want to hurt me
You're doing really well my dear
Now everyone of us was made to suffer
Everyone was made to weep
We've been hurting one another
And now the pain has cut too deep
So take me from the wreckage
Save me from the blast
Lift me up and take me back
Don't let me keep on walking
(Don't let me keep on walking)
I can't keep on walking on (keep on walking on)
Walking on walking on broken glass
Can't keep on walking on walking on broken glass
Don't let me keep on walking
Don't let me keep on walking
Don't let me keep on, keep on walking...
Don't let me keep on walking
Don't let me keep on, keep on walking...
Don't keep me walking on walking on broken glass...

Love your music, but man she dances goofy
God damn they groove this one!!
Damn that bassist is amazing
i just can't cope with this.
Why do people even try to copy great songs and suck so badly at them :( Go sing some crap song and make it better not some classic song and then totally suck :(
You plagiarize'd your own username , go eat some crayons and tide pods (make the combination original )
I love band nerds...
Love you guys! Everyone of you!
Wow. Just wow.
Bass player is out of this world. Video after video just annihilating it.
Great band, great music almost start to finish. But darn, the
ethnic trite voice vibrato that's used in every song that comes out
currently. I think Amy Winehouse started those inflections. Separate yourself further -- Wishing you success

Wow! So induvidally talented and its grows when all put together. I really needed this tonight. Thank you :)
So so love this arrangement, but I wish he were playing a flugelhorn for this.
brilliant!!!
LOVE THIS SONG and whatcha doin to it Lake Street Drive!!!!!!!!
Great Bass - Seriously Great Bass
Thank you for sending me here!
For Gods sake somebody write this woman a hit song.
Fantastic...
hurt me
I love this band. Rachel looks like she'd have a soft, meek voice... then she opens her mouth. She sounds a little like Amy Winehouse to me.
Excellent. Listen to Annie Lennox on Joules Holland's Later on the BBC TV UK. This is a very credible version by LSD!
Just brilliant! And that ending charmony-superb!
Im just lost for words!...sheer class!...
So fucking good!!!!
shame the musicians let this vocalist down last comment was how tallented the bass player was i dunno but the vocalist to me is an angel and as talented as sarah mac i dont kn0w how to spell he name but her song is in the arms of an angel
She is like if Lily Tomlin and Amy Winehouse had an amazingly talented baby. I love her so much. A+++++ singer.
If you're gonna cover Annie Lennox, you better have chops... and goddamn if LSD don't have ALL the chops in the chop house. Didn't think I could love this song any more, but now I do.
word has it that Timothy Leary expanded his mind with Lake
Street
Dive
Any song I can think of they could pull it off with flying colors. I'm thinking, NIN - Only to Billy Ocean Carribbean Queen, maybe some Bee-Gees
I cannot over emphasize how much I love this band. The talent is evident in every song, original or cover. I'm in awe every time.
Does she tour? If so, in the DFW area in the near future? I love her!
that whooping shit ruins the song, shut that guy up, what a dumbass.
She is so sweet and has so much depth
lead singer , wow ! voice , unbelievable and so beautiful to boot , crikey I might just be in love , lol
Better than Annie.
I watched this video so many times because I love the vocals but I have to watch the bassist (being a bassist beginner) and I am in Awe how she plays
Love the trumpet. Oh yeah, and the bass. And the percussion. Not forgetting that voice.
Oh, really good. Is this band still working? If they come to Europe I'll do my best to see them.
Pure talent.
kudos for controlling he dynamics with one mic.
Wow, can't get enough of their music! They are so wonderful!
Her name is Annie Lennox thank you
homegirl on double bass fucking killing it
I just started listening to this band .great band very pretty singer .
Yes! I've been listening for a few years off and on, always great!
The vox.
Sooooo Goooood!
Masters of music. One of the seven great sciences.
Boy she can sing and I love her moves too.
Trumpet player...young James Spader?
It's all about the bass, not the treble...That gal can PLAY! :0)
Each musician in this group is amazing. Just amazing!
Rachel! Great singing voice!
Fantastic. Love these guys. (Yes, I'm following them around and leaving good comments on every video.) Cheers!
Yeah!!! Another good job Boys and Lady's. ~ThankZz~ again. A Lady below likes the Bass, and I do too, but the guy on the horn is blowing it just right. He's got to be careful, not to drown out the rest of the band. I see there are 88 Ass Holes that dropped by to click the down hand.
My ears are being blessed every time I listen to this
she has a great voice, really wish she didnt try so hard...over doing it makes it sound off putting.
The ghost of Amy Winehouse haunts all female singers across all genres forever.
There aren't many modern groups that can do a single mic recording and make it work, much less kill it like LSD did here.
Ripppppasss
I love this bass player.. She is GOOD
Damn, amazing !!! Love this !!! Here in western kentucky !!!
Yeah, I've never heard of this band, but I like the covers they do! This gal has got it all! Rachel, I love you!
I have been a huge fan of LSD since the first time I heard them. They are a breath of fresh air in the musical wasteland that has been created by the recording industry. I wish these talented young people the utmost of success.
A fine group.
wow, just one microphone?
Old school; ain't it great?
Bridget rockin it. Hell yeah I love this band.
Is Rachael Price, this Gens Carole King?
Thank god for WXPN PHILA!!! University of Pa!!!!!
That double bass! And the singers vocal range is insane!!
ONE MIC!!!! That's insane.
Nice work with that single mic on wide cardioid to tame the bass a little. Creative thinking!
As Rachael starts singing there is almost a Toni Childs feel to her voice. Love it!
you know, I'm starting to like these people.....
there is something a little unsubtle about this band . Maybe add a B3, maybe add a couple of jazz musicians, maybe a good fiddle, something to play along with the trumpet... Love the bass player
actually, that bass player looks like the future star
Wow! Just amazing.
Somewhere else, someone commented that s/he would be happy to listen to Rachel Price read (presumably sing) a phone book. Great remark, and clearly appropriate! What a singer!
Please put on iTunes!!! I love this soo much!!
I'd walk miles over broken glass for Rachael!
that final harmony omg
Cool discovery. These guys are great!
Holy shit. Fucking fantastic.
I mean.... c’mon.
This is my favorite.
The arrangement of this song is crazy fantastic
Came to this by chance via Lola- love the whole arrangement, the trumpet is the icing on the cake, I can feel myself in a basement club, the air thick with smoke, sweat and the glow of gaslights.
Doesn't seem like an easy song to do. Well done.
Super impressed with their skills, spent many years in bands and never found fellow musicians that could pick up each others grooves
Really Nice11
She moves her head like a chicken searching for food
Bridgette is the best bass player I've heard in ages...on the entire planet/ male or female. She totally rocks in EVERY LSD clip. The entire LSD ensemble is just so talented - each worthy of genuine praise and recognition in their own right - and together they are simply formidable. Bridgette first blew me away when LSD performed Mack the Knife on stage at Music City Roots...
https://youtu.be/IsifoRoCT-A?list=FL_S2FlASxB3_TdKIFvrIiLw - check out the play at 4.39... she be having a good time.
This is nearly completely perfect. I listen to it almost every day. The playing is phenomenal especially the bass.
The background singing really requires its own mics though. It can sound kind of echoey and hollow throughout this song rather than creating the rich harmonies that I think are intended.
Bravo again
Listening to this, I can feel my high blood pressure return to normal.
Shes a good kisser
To older cats: Who sees Ginger and Mary ann?...
I can’t remember being that impressed with a bass player in a long time.
Great talents. I would like to see the singer in a badass blues band.
All of them..Everyone here is individually phenomenal! I have to listen to every song 10 times to appreciate each artists contributions a song. Then altogether. Woa!
