These guys just kill me. So tasty! Impeccable musicianship and killer songwriting. The drummer's left hand technique is just so cool. Bridget's bass work - that upright bass just fattens up their sound so much. And Rachael is Rachael - one of the finest singers on the planet.


Side note: the eyebrow waggle/smile thing Rachael does as she turns to the camera - yeah, my heart skipped a beat. I'm weak. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I agree totally with your observations of their talent. If you haven't already, check out the concerts of their return to the NEC to perform with the NEC orchestra (New England Conservatory, where they all me in the mid-2000s)

i have to say objectively speaking, im a huge fan of the performance and the song. But the bowed bass at the intro is pitchy, the harmonies are sloppy at point, the guitar tone isnt right for the arrangement and the guitar solo is just not that good and finishes with sour phrase..... Im sure they could have got better take

I enjoyed this song -- great vibe to it. However, I would have changed the mix to turn down the guitar somewhat and also, eliminate the guitar solo altogether as it didn't seem to fit.

When it came time for that guitar riff, instead of taking off it went nowhere.

Sound is good as usual, maybe a little better mixing. The video was better than most. But quick cuts were a little fast for an old man's eyes. Still the best group I've seen in years.

As this is clearly a paid promotional video, isn't it legally required to have a disclaimer stating that either in the video or in the notes? Maybe I'm blind, but I'm not seeing that. I love the song and the video, and love that LSD is getting some support from Bose, a company that I respect deeply, but I'd hate to see either party get into trouble by not properly disclaiming the sponsorship of this video.

It doesn't hurt to cover your ass and just put a single sentence at the end of the description clearly stating that this was a paid promotion for Bose. It's not a matter of being chill, or being cool, it's a matter of being legal.

To what regulation are you referring? It's a video of a band performing a piece of music they wrote. what disclaimer is required? Something about who put up the money or what equipment they are using? What?

@Nick Landess If you actually read the description, it's clearly written by Bose as it talks from their perspective, not that of LSD. This leads me to believe that they not only received free use of the studio and equipment contained within, but monetary compensation as well. If this video was posted on a channel owned and operated by Bose, no disclaimer would be needed, but as it appears on LSD's channel, if money was exchanged, it needs to be stated either in the video itself, or in the notes.

If you'd like, I can happily google "FTC guidelines for endorsement videos" for you, but I'm pretty sure a savvy web user like yourself doesn't need my help with that, right?

Can... use an upright bass as a cello or vice versa

They're totally different instruments. Stylistically you can play them both with a bow or your fingers but a bass is far larger. And to my knowledge they're tuned differently.

Im a sales consultant there in the Home Theatre department and we have one of theyre songs on a Bose Soundbar as part of a demo (the song is "Mistakes") and I thought she was AMAZING!
