This song is definitely about a friend that used to laugh and look down at junkies with him, then his friend becomes one himself. So many Lagwagon songs are about derrick plourde... ride the snake also comes to mind. Very sad, thats why derrick left lagwagon after this album, he was given an ultimatum by the band and he didn't want to get sober.
It's weird how Joey's lyrics are about getting down 'cause a friend got cought on drugs, and Nikola Sarcevic's from Millencolin gets down 'cause his friends got sober.

Jack Tripper I think it's about someone joining the military or being forced into the military when they said they would never do it, hence the title "shaving your head" as that's what you have to do when you get into the military
