This song, these lyrics, they bring to mind so many days and years of stumbling into adulthood. I remember unforgettable nights riding to punk shows with friends I've now lost touch with. We loved Lagwagon, we loved No Use For A Name and those Fat Wreck and Kung Fu Records mix samplers that came out, we memorized every last part of Joey Cape & Tony Sly Acoustic and watched our friendships grow up as Tony and Joey's did. If you would have told me back then that it would all end like this I wouldn't have believed a word. I still remember the day all of us heard about Tony's passing. We called and texted each other and reminisced a lot. Not just about Tony's music but about us and who we were in the middle of all of that. We all agree with Joey on this, Tony. We'll always long for one more song, but thanks for all the ones you gave us.

Joey and Tony played a lot of acoustic shows together. Brooklyn NY was the last show Tony ever played and it was him and Joey, Tony died days later.

I had the pleasure of seeing NUFN in 2005. I remember listening to them growing up listening to them. Making Friends still plays in my car to this day. Tony's writing is amazing and his music has gotten me through a lot of hard times. R.I.P. Tony. See you on the outside.
