I always wonder if Homme just made a mistake on 02:21 or if it was done intentionally. It sounds out of tune. And if I can hear it, they would have definitely noticed it when playing back the recording.

This song seems to have been recorded live in the studio with the whole band, so any fuck ups stayed on the track. Hence the “don’t fuck up” intro - any big mistakes would mean they’d have to start all over again. Which is a pain in the ass for an eight minute track!

This is a one-shot live recording in the studio, hence the mistakes ;) it adds to the rawness and coolness of this tune

Vista Chino doesn't need to play this song, This is a Kyuss song. I was all for Kyuss Lives. But now that they are Vista Chino, they should forge their own way. I'm sure it will be great because they are amazing musicians. I just say, hands off any more Kyuss stuff, and I supported Brant and John the whole time. These songs are too legendary to fuck with. Leave them be.

What I've always love about Kyuss was that they sounded like a frieght train plowing over you. Belches of smoke from the stack, the wheels turning, thunder and skaking ground, and then John's voice cutting through from above.
I don't do drugs anymore, I can't. But when I need to trip, I somewhere isolated, fire up a Beck's non-alcohic and smoke ciagarettes totally entranced.

It's the best of Kyuss (as you can clearly read :D), came out in 2000 and the songs recorded for this were played by Garcia, Homme, Reeder and Hernandez, while the older songs were played by Oliveri on bass and Brant Bjork on drums (apart from Garcia and Homme, of course).
