Kweli, Talib - A Game Lyrics

[Intro - Talib Kweli]
7-18 stand up (c'mon) Talib Kweli, BK MC
Turn it up (yeah)
We 'bout to drop it low
Baby I got the flow (yeah) to work your abdominal (I'm goin in)
It's the lava flow (yeah) strictly A game
Rock it fast, rock it slow (whoa)
You got to rock it fast, rock it slow (whoa, whoa)
Rock it fast, rock it slow (c'mon, yeah)
You gon' rock it fast, rock it slow (whoa, whoa, yeah, yeah!)

[Talib Kweli]
Black rock and roll, black hotter flow
At the end of the black brick road, lets get it goin yo
Geffen don't fuck the shit up, ship it gold
So I could sell like the whole Jigga back catalo'
Matta fact I'm tryin to sell out, concerts and merch' fam
Always get the story straight accounts first hand (yeah)
That nigga, the crack spitter, the black fitted low
Give you that bit of information so
You could know what you see when it's your time to go
The diamond flow cut glass, crack binary code
You're kinda slow, you need a new career (yeah)
You're kinda old, you need to hang the mic up on the wall like a souvenir
Don't blame the mangers, "Be All You Can Be"
Join the Army like Canibus, niggaz avoidin me
like the draft and run to Canada, flash like a camera
That's when his girl asked me to dance with her - so we gon'

[Chorus]
(Hop to the beat and then stop) Yeah, drop it low
Baby I got the flow to work your abdominal
(Ladies I know I get hot) Like lava flow
Strictly the A game, rock it fast, rock it slow
(Hop to the beat and then stop) Yeah, drop it low
Baby I got the flow to work your abdominal
(Ladies I know I get hot) Like lava flow
Strictly the A game, drop it fast

[Talib Kweli]
That's how we do it all the way live..
I put it down so hard that I developed a rep (c'mon)
From the punchlines to cave in your delicate chest
The fella can test, let's see how jealousy get
I smell the fear in the air and I could tell he was pet'
Kweli - look in my eyes and you could tell I'm a threat
I wet my throat and get bent like a pelican's neck
I make a gentleman's bet with my ghetto connect
And got a .9 in my mind you can't metal detect
I pull it out, put it to your head and shoot from the hip
I fired 13 shots and left 2 in the clip (yeah)
I spit the truth, that's it, I'm not confused one bit (c'mon)
I'm so New York City streets that I'm abusin your whip
Cruisin the strip, sunny day sky blue like a Crip (c'mon)
For the rush hour Enuff threw this in the mix
Quarter to six, Amadeus is producin the hits (oh, oh, oh)
To get a screw loose in your chick, son she losin her shit (whoa)

[Chorus]

[Interlude - 4x]
Check me out, yeah, yeah, yeah
Get your ass up on the dance floor
No we don't stop, when we in the dance off
Baby girl whatchu wanna get into?
I wanna get in too, bring your friends too

[Chorus]

So that is the thurd acusing white ppl for being nazi's.......

  4. B.... F....

As a Dr. Dre superfan, to know that he didnt want Game doing any features and mixtapes before the album dropped showed he was starting to be a little out of touch with the rap game at that time. The mixtape/feature thing was the norm at that time. Its what blew Lil Wayne, Drake and J Cole up and helped build bigger anticipation for future releases. The 50 beef i understand, but those mixtapes Game did and the Jim Jones feature made me want to buy the documentary even more

  5. m.... m....

Talib a better host then Nore and Flex combined

  6. D.... H....

So great that he takes his people out and show them the world. I've personally tried to get people out of bad situations and they didn't leave and got caught up. Or, I'm a Hawai'ian dude and I got family back home and they've never left the island. f you're young and have no kids, hit the road with a back pack and go see some shit.

  7. C.... O....

Luda is an underrated lyricist he got bars and can really spit. X Raided said it best his comedy hurt him only in the sense that he doesnt get mentioned with the best spitters

  8. J.... V....

So far the best interview for the new album. I like the way GAME is so open about pretty much any subject. I've always loved how Talib is so calm and smooth when he speaks. He draws u in. He is the best interviewer I've ever seen.

  24. P.... D....

The Game is like The Mandalorian a skilled Warrior that overcame alot and pushes through to do the right thing. And oh a lyrical Bounty hunter thats the best in the parsec

  25. P.... D....

Yo Talib you are the best man great host on point with the subject and knowledgable on your guest work even down to your segues and the way you preface and broach a contriversial question man. People can learn from just this interview alone.

  26. P.... D....

When he start telling the story about when he met nip at about 1:16:00 on reminded me of that SNL "THE CALIFORNIANS" SKIT😂😂

  27. P.... D....

Seriosly asking when will we get the next BLACKSTARR!?!? IVE DOUBLED IN AGE SINCE THE LAST ONE!! DONT WANT TO TRIPLE!!🤣😅

  28. R.... A....

Game need a podcast as well. Very outspoken and controversial. This equals sales.

  29. c.... ....

I like Talib better as an interviewer than a rapper.

  30. j.... s....

Game told truth thats how it is we gotta embrace the hard times to make it to get to better stronger u in life game real.....

  31. j.... W....

Dem some playa frames talib got on anybody know the name of them

Man I hate hearing about Nip, no matter how much later after it happen, I hate it! RIP Nip

  33. a.... t....

Nigga, that THis is how we do? that synergy was CRAZY. I think it would be dope to hear them on another record

  34. R.... B....

A dental appointment w mill$ on the line my guy? Say word! Hahaha. On the real, I'm truly struggling on which scenario is worse... he's telling the truth, or he believes this is his best lie?...

  35. E.... C....

Game & Kweli need to do a record together for real

  36. m.... s....

I've seen the Game twice live and I've seen 50 twice live. Hearing the Games stories about that whole situation and how he thinks they could've made billions if they didn't separate......... I just hope they can come together for an album. Hate it or love it and How we do. Talking about songs that are timeless that never got released, I 100% believe that!

Wrote this after listening to 53:22 of the podcast.

  37. D.... H....

Everybody living in there own little world, the game is still the same no matter where you live.... It's there "intellect" that keeps them trapped in the hood.... HIP-HOP IS A BUSINESS AT THE END OF THE DAY!!!

  38. F.... F....

This was such a PERFECT interview and it was LONG! Basically 2 hours of information and dope conversation. Thank you for this interview Talib!

  39. N.... ....

Self made?? U sure? Pretty sure he had a record deal. Bay Area. Independent 100%

  40. N.... ....

Lib might be the best former rapper turned interviewer out now, no disrespect to Budden. Also, Game is and has always been intelligent as hell. I'm surprised he hasn't put on any new emcees, that follow his same wave.

  41. H.... F....

subbed AS SOON as I saw Talib, I am an asian american guy from the bay and I grew up on your music. Eardrum was one of my FAVORITE albums even though it "didn't sell". Blackstar and the roots is what got me into hip hop 100%. Without you and the lyrics in your songs I would have been off rap, your impact is much bigger than I think you know or most people recognize.

  42. M.... C....

I just don't believe everything this guy says. He seems like an exaggerator.

  43. m.... h....

Wale on here would be legendary...ppl need to really understand his music and his way of thinking. He's a Genius

    m.... h....

    Yup, we are on that!

  44. B.... G....

    54:43 AGAIN

  45. B.... G....

48:32 Game says NIGGER, but that's ok bcuz he black Facts all around

  46. C.... O....

I like that I can hear the interviews and Kweli's segue game is unparalleled.

    C.... O....

    The ABSOLUTE BEST!

  47. O.... T....

    Dope interview fam

  48. U.... A....

I agree with da baby he only one with a character n style in hip hop we missing that

  49. J.... B....

I think it’s crazy that it took me to the year 2020 to find out that Game did a song about Trayvon #RIP

  50. K.... G....

Talib has NORE'd this shit. I mean reinvented himself. Hes a lot better than NORE but I LOVE both styles

  51. E.... W....

Talib is legit the black Larry King Interview was lit for HipHop Art!

  52. G.... M....

'Intellectuals embarrassed 'cos we discussing Ebonics'

  53. C.... L....

One of Games best interviews! Very transparent, informative on the culture and process of The Game and Rap Music in general. Thanks Talib and Peoples Party for establishing this platform to interview talents.

  54. D.... M....

he not lying...i would walk home, I wasnt scared of the crack heads, gang bangers, prostitutes or etc, Lol only thing I was scared of is the 4 legged dogs 🤷🏾‍♀️😄

  55. K.... E....

Ice cube was very lyrical and still is

  56. R.... W....

1:38:40 ROFL!! That is or every flip flop that the flip flop fit!! LOL!!! aye, much respect to this dude.

  57. R.... W....

    1:13:29 LOL!!!

  58. R.... W....

    dopeness.... al the way around.

  59. K.... D....

Niggas a compulsive liar for years

    K.... D....

Kondo Durham lol what did he lie about

  60. A.... D....

The story he said about meeting wack sounds like suge knight 2pac meeting

  61. D.... ....

This was such a great episode . I’ll never forget hearing The Game on this mixtape before he got with G Unit and I had this tape playing it on the Boardwalk in Wildwood New Jersey and my friends were wildin out having fun and I took my headphones and walked out on the beach just stuck because he sounded like the second coming of NWA . I love The Game #NoHomo

  62. B.... D....

The real reason big came to LA is he was leaving bad boy and he was shopping a deal...one of those ppl he was meeting was Dre and Jimmy...there’s multiple sources who have said this and big was tired of being broke even those he was one of the biggest artist alive at the time...that’s why big was in LA...multiple ppl have said he met with Dre and the rest is history

  63. c.... g....

    19:43😂😂😂

  64. B.... D....

Talib and mos def are my when I’m down music and has been since reflections eternal...their voices are just uplifting let alone those lyrics...but that music video in the rain is the greatest music video ever...kwali...kwali...kwali...but my bro you forgot Mr. Bombton hisself Kendrick Lamar

  65. p.... ....

This was a great interview. However, the spoiler for Power pissed me off!

  66. r.... ....

You know, I been to a lot of cities, Chicago, Cleveland, Philly, LA, Texas...it seems like a lot of dudes only wanna know about their own corner. There is a difference, like in NY where I'm from, and Philly, we liked hip hop as long as lyricists were good. But people really didn't feel like that in a lot of the other cities I went to. So, I get where Game is coming from.

  67. N.... S....

Game is more than a “west coast” legend. Game is a bonified rap legend.

    N.... S....

    Lmao yeah.........
    Right.

  68. S.... K....

I’m glad Talib found a job

  69. J.... V....

"Just being apart of something cool."
    29:09
I wish this interview could have delved deeper into the dichotomy between the Game's gang ties and the privileged life he has now. The goal/message for young men and women is to not join a gang, not glorify it. Gang life and culture are synonymous with disenfranchisement, destruction, and death. The Game's trek through gang life and culture is an outlier. We all know how most people ultimately meet their fate chasing something cool. (Prison industrial complex, death, etc.)

  70. J.... A....

Game and banks should do a song together!!!

  71. A.... H....

This interview TK will be legendary one day. Def fan of The Game. So, glad I got to see the brotha Game talk about life and growing through Hip Hop. Him talkin about his life as a young man in LA, is like some wild west issh. Damn bro!

  72. W.... 9....

    Cool vid

  73. Y.... D....

    Game scared

  74. T.... J....

so did suge stop the gunit vs game shooting at the hotel?

  75. E.... M....

Nope Game, don’t talk about New York. Talk about L.A. dumbest shit I ever heard. Brooklyn is one thing, NO!! Every block is a different crew You gotta maneuver through. Ain’t no this the nieghborhood gang or set in Brooklyn, Bronx or anywhere else in NYC. Every man for themselves. I hate when people talk on other cities they did not grow up in. Talib should have corrected him respectfully.

  76. E.... ....

    Really good interview.

  77. F.... D....

Amazing interview. I been listening to the Game from his first Album dropped. All the way from Ireland ❤🇮🇪

  78. M.... L....

  80. D.... O....

Game is one of my favorite rappers and has always been more conscious than most gangsta west coast rappers.

  81. D.... O....

What the fuck is smack dead bruh? Lol bruh must mean “smack dab”

  82. M.... T....

Talib knows exactly what to ask and every question was spot on and he knows when to listen no interruptions like you see in other interviews I used to be a big fan of game from documentary to LAX I feel like bumping his shit again one love

  83. W.... G....

The Game is so well spoken and smart. He is incredibly nuanced and introspective too. Im an old fan of Hip Hop, but never really got into Games music, I always peep his interviews though, hes a real impressive humble dude who seems to love what I love about Hip Hop.

  84. T.... w....

Where the heel is that woman sitting?

  85. I.... ....

    Completely dope interview.

  92. L.... M....

Love the Game! He's real, unique, intelligent with his Game! Nothing but real, Love that Game!

  93. F.... H....

Kweli very good listener and only very smart people listen, its easily the more important than talking, if only TI, Fat Joe and NORE could pick a leaf and Listen, No wonder Kweli made that Record monster hit LISTEN

  94. Y.... ....

I’d love to see you sit down with Elzhi.

  95. t.... ....

  97. l.... l....

Hey Game, true, the ghetto is the ghetto, some are worse than others. I was one of those kids in Africa who did not have shoes on their feet when u said it...but that was all about being poor, not the guns.

  98. M.... ....

Game one of the illest interviews! He a real G
