Kula Shaker - Sound Of Drums Lyrics
I hear the sound of drums on a melody, I hear the sound of drums
Well singing the names above in the city, yeah, revolution for fun
I feel the time has come like a remedy, I feel the time has come
We're shaking the spear of love in the city, yeah, I hear the sound of drums
Yeah, yeah, can you feel the love for me, yeah yeah
I feel the time has come, I hear the sound of drums
I hear the sound of drums on a melody, calling me to return
Well light up and catch the sun, 'cause it's gonna be revolution for fun
Yeah, yeah, can you feel the love for me, yeah, yeah
I feel the time has come, I hear the sound of drums, drums
Well I feel the time has come with a melody, I see the golden one
Well I'm not the only one with the remedy, I'm not the only one
I feel the time has come, I hear the sound of drums, drums

Kula Shaker Sound Of Drums Comments
Brilliant song - but the visuals just made me have a fit.
That intro is fucking epic!!!!
I heard this on an old vhs tape of me dancing when I was a few months old. When i found it, i was dancing again at 20.
Great Band, great song, saw them live many times etc. Video is malicious and trying to make people have fits. Uploader probably graduated to killing small animals.
Good song. ANNOYING FLASHES.
I think this song pays homage to some 60's bands and music as well as sounding Psychedelic. The organ/Keyboard early on sounds like Ray Manzarek of the doors, and later on from about 2:43 to 3:16 sounds a lot like Magic carpet Ride by Steppenwolf.
i bloody love them - where did they go (sniff sniff)....
Oh, all over the world, and still do (don't cry!).
An absolutely belting grooving tune from the fab Kula Shaker! I was lucky enough to get this on 45 and its a song which always gets the crowd dancing big time when I spin it in my sets!
The nine dislikes are still fitting on the floor 😀😀
The b side to this was called were all going to fairy land a real odd song
Groovy man !
This song is so groovy, I'm having Vietnam flashbacks.
got a hint of 'the doors' about it... love it loads
Does anyone remember the name of the B-Side to this single? I bought this when it came out but I can't remember the name of the piece; it had no lyrics, just a weird and entertaining tune. I'm having trouble finding it out on Google.
J.K. Benedict: I remember where I was working when this song came out, so I believe I purchased it in 1998?
OH! I've just found it! It wasn't on the CD this video is referring to (CD 1), it was on CD 2 (the version I had). The music is called 'The One That Got Away'.
Stormyweld05 Yup! I am in the states and had to wait for 1999...
Stormyweld05 Sweeeeet!
It was called fairy land (we're all going to fairyland)
Top quality.....don't watch the graphic it'll drive you insane!! Just enjoy the wonderful "sound".
Fantastic song!
Stupid video, you can't watch it moron
Absolute belter!!!!!!!

What a tune!! Opening track at the Holmfirth gig 09/05/2016. FANTASTIC GIG. If you ever get chance you NEED to go and see them!!
+Bobby Shaftoe I did get chance to go see them for free with a mate who had tickets but had to pass it up, still not seen them live yet :( oh well "sie la vie" At least you had a good time though :)
Bobby Shaftoe Saw them in Hammersmith in 97 (?) and Norwich 2016......Still brilliant !!
How 1960s can you get???
Especially the keyboard parts, Very Ray Manzarek esque
It reminds me a lot of The Stones' "10,000 Light Years." It's still a great number.
The dogs bollocks
But I can't watch it
Reminds Me Of Being at High School Great Times the 90s
This version is better than the album version
Knock knock knock knock
Pork roll.
well that gave me an epileptic fit. Jesus. Man
@OilSlickEyes ?????????????????????????????????
+omar r. da silva Strobing, innit. Can provoke epileptic fits. Superb song, but the visuals should come with a warning.
sound of drums!
Anybody else reminded of the Beatles and Kansas by this band?
Yep! But Kula Shaker has always pointed to the Beatles as one of their main influences.
No, this is KULA SHAKER
@SollyDora namely George Harrison.
Oddily, that song makes me think of driving in that never ending straight roads in american west(I think), while listening to it.
By the time you make up your mind - If ever you do...
I hear the 'Drums of Heaven' to...
My favorite 90s band after radiohead. :) still brilliant after all these years.
yip,there so good,but retro 60s
im late 70:s,madness boy,lol here govinda was give me a giro!lol
you should hear the only "terror crypted music " Portishead they started in 1991 ...and then Radiohead put the name honoring the "unique" diva of mistery Beth Gibbons
Lovely stuff this is.
Brilliant keyboards, their finest track.
Lovely memories with this tune. End 90s, great time for sure ....
Wow...I'm trying not to sing along at the top of my lungs in the middle of the night! I must hear the rest of this band...
I bought this single back in '98 when I was eleven yrs old.
p.s. the strobe and psychedelic kaleidoscope is making me feel a bit sick but I'm still watching - It's what Kula Shaker would have wanted.
gd job on the video!
Woah, that is a massive coincidence Scott, I too am no doctor. Mind blown.....
fuck nerfing the world so a few extremem freaks can be comfortable at the cost of all of us not having good shit.
This tune's worth it.
It sounds like brit pop, the 60's and mr hendrix having a blast.
FANTASTIC!!!!!1
Do we need another seizure comment? Lol
Not recommended for those prone to epileptic seizures.
I don't think most visually activated epileptics will seize the instant they see some blinking lights, and I think they'll all be smart enough to turn the video off if they're easily triggered. That said, it is nice of you to care for them :)
@B3burner lol it wasnt a complaint just an observation....and yeah it is a good tune-reminds me of college days doind no work with good friends!
Genial!!!
@Morrilou I won't :D
the visuals on this video must be an epic trip under the influence of acids. i will keep the curiosity, though
Wow! Is it me or is this song about reminiscing?
...I hear a rip off of the doors
I have seizures, but this didn't trigger anything
it's like a kaleidoscope in animation, and really lovely!
thanks for the quality upload :)
@gunjazzpoetry: if some epileptic dude happens to stumble upon this video, hes fucked. u know that, dont u?!
Cool song, the video needs a seizure warning though!
