@Jacob Wells True, slavery started in the Old World. Portugese took advantage of the existing slave trade on the African west coast and turned it trans-Atlantic. The Confederates centuries later sought to turn this into a permanent hemisphere-spanning Empire, or that was their stated goal anyway.

@Jacob Wells Stalin USED Communism and killed many, yes. Communism was used incorrectly to do what Fascists were doing in Nazi Germany. (Democratic Centralism is not the same as Democratic Socialism, which has sprouted in the West. AND Stalinism is not the same as either Marxism OR Leninism.) Just because Stalin killed more does not absolve Hitler to be a lesser bastard than Uncle Joe. Besides Trump . . . . uh Hitler's antics are on the rise. Stalin is as good as dead in the West.
