I'm surprised by all the negative comments. I love the way KMFDM isn't afraid to experiment with different sounds. It's what's kept them fresh. I like the angsty heavy angry stuff, but the more mellow or off track songs are great too. I find this song a great mix of angry and haunting more Drill-like, which is cool.

Lucia has slowly changed the sound of kmfdm (remember new coke) Not that she doesn't have something to offer,she does, maybe she needs her own band instead of taking over another band.

Her single efforts never gained any commercial traction beyond one song on the American Pie soundtrack. Its why shes kinda pigeonholed with just the KMFDM sound.

Yeah they lost it if the whole album is like this. "Paradise" itself was a dud as well with how repetitive it is.
But then again, i guess you cant make a proper comeback as a bunch of 50? year olds imitating their own peak.
Oh well, maybe their new boomercore sound is commercially successful even if its a joke.

@dralezero I've been waiting years for Lucia to bring back the horsey scream. Gives me chills in a great way. Heavily underutilized in KMFDM. Just in Headcase and mdfmk's Rabble Rouser if I'm not mistaken (and a couple Drill songs).

And go after the small but tired niche fanbase of anarcho-rivetheads? Lucia love or hate it, brings a healthy mix of people to the table..(mainly women) because of the playfulness and danceability she brings to the table.

But hey, at least boomer rock is commercially successful, and thats what the new kmfdm fans are dying for i guess. Nice and clean mainstream music that your parents can dance to.
