This is a weak argument. The "moral high ground" is good for a feeling of superiority (an ego trip which, in my opinion, is worse than the alternative), but in the end it is impractical and useless. You might be the "bigger man" (whatever the fuck that means) but in the end you're still at the bottom of the social food chain, and you've done nothing except delude yourself that you are "better". Standing up to people is the right thing to do, but Eric and Dylan did take it a tad too far.

While I agree, I also think they were responsible for their actions, and the responsibility to refrain from doing what they did lay on them, and not everyone else.

And take into consideration that the teachers did next to nothing when it came to bullying cases. The fecal cup insident aside- another incident I read about, the jocks would lube up a hallway with baby oil and go "Bowling with students". The teachers looked at that and were like "Boys will be boys." Until one of the students broke their arm. Still, the jocks got slaps on the wrists. So I think it was a combination of the bullying and the teacher's doing nothing that caused their lack of trust.

Well, you also have to take into consideration that Eric and Dylan weren't in the right mind-set at the time, or that they probably didn't know they could get help. Also, it all depends on the severity of the bullying. Eric and Dylan were most likely severely bullied, and therefore, probably started to distrust other people, preventing them from getting the help they needed.

1- No. If one snaps after being bullied, it just makes you the same, if not, worse that the people who bully you. What Eric and Dylan should have done is talk to someone about what's been happening to them. Even if that's not considered a "boyish" thing to do. Talking to someone does not make you a pussy or a wuss. It makes you the bigger man. And this is coming from someone who was bullied though his High school years, but I didn't shoot up my school over it. I rose above it.

Let me tell you something: Eric and Dylan were victims of bullying. Eric has even written journal entries about how he should have been treated better. There was even an incident where someone threw a cups of feces at them.

After years of being bullied mercilessly, wouldn't you snap?

On a last note, I want you to answer this: Who are the real monsters? Eric and Dylan? Or the majority? The people who turned them into what they were?
