Donnie had the music but he had virtually no star quality and stage presence. Even in the behind the scenes of them making this video, Puff was really trying to push something out of him but it just didn't work. Puff does deal with business in a bad way but Donnie just did not have that X factor. I loved this song though and a few others on his album.

So here's my take on Donnie and his " Just A Rolling Stone " LP,  I think the album as a whole was a great album, I recall during the airings of Making The Band, I remembered nobody truly didn't want to work with him, his sessions were being put aside while Day 26 and Danity Kane was getting all the attention and sessions.  I remembered Seven was the only producer showed any quality interest in working with Donnie.  I remembered when Donnie first met Seven in the studio and Donnie had this look in his eyes of this guy is weird but when Seven played samples of his work, Donnie quickly caught his attention because the sounds of Seven work was what Donnie wanted to make and they quickly form a friendship, that was moment I respected Seven more because he was so open minded and willing to show true heart in working with Donnie.  I think the album failed as a whole because there wasn't much attention focus on Donnie during the Making The Band episodes, especially during the whole Day 26 and Danity Kane drama in the house, it's like he was caught in the middle of it all and I seriously thought by him being caught in the middle wasn't going to help him get the attention that he needs.  All in all, I just didn't think he was giving the same camera time as the members of the other groups, he truly needed his own show so that all the focus would be upon him and making his album.  In conclusion, " Take You There " was a great track but I don't think it was the right track to open the album, my opinion, " Dr Love "  was absolutely the best track on the album and from what I read on blogs, many felt the same as I did about " Dr Love "  I think that track should have been the first single and " Take You There " could've been it's follow up.  All in all, he had the talent to go far, he just needed the right promotional backing and I feel it wasn't fairly giving to him during the episodes of Making The Band and Bad Boy itself.  I would love to see him work with Seven again, I believe the formula they have will create a hot album, their formula is like the formula of Janet Jackson and Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis

You are absolutely correct !!!! It was career suicide for Donnie. Plus he didn't even have good management let alone a good label. Bad boy is known to ruin careers just as it is known to make careers. It's really 50/50 shot. Day26 didn't do good either neither did danity Kane. All of the budget and production Went into the show instead of all of these artists. Diddy fucked them so hard they can't ever have solo careers ever.

I totally agree!! Dr. Love should have been his lead single. I think the only group which did well overall was Danity Kane. Day26 were alright but only them gurlz from Danity Kane managed to sell even more albums with their second album compared to them sales of their debut album

I have been listening to Donnie Klang for a few year's now and I think your great!

Donnie has some great potential. Unfortunately, any proximity to Diddy is career poison. There is a reason why all of his groups do not have lasting power under his leadership. If someone wants to start a music career, avoid Bad Boy or whatever remains of Bad Boy. It's best to just go to an independent label and avoid getting used and screwed from the get go.
