Why in the hell was Tommy not playing this on the Sonic Boom tour and hottest Show on Earth Tour instead of Shock me

If this was Ace singing this bad ass song people would be saying it's the best song on the album but because Tommy singing it they won't give it as much praise truth is it's one of the best songs on the album

Is it just me, or does the rhythm guitar during the solo sound strangely like TNT?

Great song and Tommy can sing for sure. But it's a pity they don't play it live or any other songs that Tommy wrote and co-wrote.
I have no doubt in my mind that Tommy is a great guitar player but he is made to mimic Ace all around and it's just sad

Great vocals, to me Tommy's voice is a combination between gene's raspy voice and ace's higher pitched voice cause he can hit the high notes.

I am totally agree with you, holymackeral456. To me KISS is what KISS is today. This line-up is the ultimate for me. I don't want Ace or Peter back at all! "Sonic Boom" is leages better than "Psycho Circus". Hope they will record a lot more albums with the current line-up!!!

@holymackeral456 thats all well and good, but the sheer fact is Tommy and Eric are coat hangers filling an empty place onstage. Nobody denies that they are great musicians but KISS have never lived or died on musicial ability. That was Kulicks main criticism when he joined the band. The fact is KISS continue to use makeup created by them and sell merchandise with Ace and Peter on it. If they are so unimportant to the current bands history, why are they still featured ahead of the current lineup?

At long last somebody gets it. Both Tommy and Ace are tremendous axemen, Tommy usually downplayed because of the makeup. Ace had wanted KISS to end back in 2002 anyways, and now that he's on his own, he's able to do what he wants, and it kicks ass. Same idea goes for Tommy. When a band is having the most fun is when it's at itas best. So contrary to popular opinion I can arguably say that both Ace and KISS are at their strongest points here and now, despite being separate.

When Lighting Strikes is one of the weaker songs on the album,but its still better than anything off Ace's Anomaly and far from shit. Sonic Boom is actually a solid record, on par with the songwriting from the Destroyer/Rock and Roll Over/Love Gun era tracks. Classic Gene lyrics, catchy riffs and just fun rock. Anomaly is bland, the production value is not even close to on par with Sonic Boom and most of all Ace can't sing. I personally like Ace but to compare his music to KISS is just silly.

This song sounds like "One Vision". I find some songs in this CD sound like other bands or even other KISS albums. I miss the days when KISS sound was very different to other bands.

They played this on sportscenter last night it was cool and I LOVE the new album, I have listened to it a dozen times and it doesn't get old, ALSO I like most the re-done kiss songs that came with it...

Typical for a rock group that has outlived their sound. Not involved or complex. Doesnt really incorporate bridge work. Just straight ahead campy Kiss. Havent heard everything on this record yet but have to wonder is there even a ballad here?

I think Tommy did great work on this album, but this song and "Never Enough" are the only two songs on this album I don't care for.

KISS is bigger than any individual member including former members. This is one of their best ever albums. This line-up rocks. I've got a copy of both Sonic Boom & Anomaly . I'll be seeing Ace soon on his Australian tour & when KISS come back I'll see them as well.
