I was thinking this was a melvins song the whole time until today........

Just heard this version first time since 1978.
Had since only known the Melvins version.
What a pleasant surprise while I was listening to Hotter Than Hell.

Oh man. That fucking lead. Like all of Ace's solos....It sends chills up my spine. They really were the equivalent of The Beatles as far as beautiful builds to the chorus and awesome bridges. And then ultimate climax to leave you wondering what's next....AND THEN... . Another FUCKING melody bomb

Very underrated song! I got this album when I was 5 in 1979 and this was my favorite tune! Ive never even seen them play it live at any shows back in the day! Then Gene did a one off with the Melvins and I hear that they have played it many times since! Cheers

This is a song left over from Gene's Wicked Lester abortion. One listen to this after listening to the Ace Frehley-written Parasite, and you know where the REAL sound of Kiss came from. When Ace left, Kiss NEVER sounded like Kiss again. Ace and Peter liked to party, meanwhile Gene and Paul, who were ALWAYS about the business and the money, managed to screw them out of a big part of the profits and their royalties. I don't think Paul would have screwed Ace so hard if left to his own devices, but he always did what Gene told him to when it came to the money and business side of things. Gene may be pleased with himself for screwing Ace and Peter out of most of their Kiss royalties, but he's gonna answer for it one day - just like we ALL will.....

Imagine how much better and different the music world would be had kiss been Ace and Peters band. All of that 1980'S SHAMEFUL crap wouldn't exist. The wrong members left.

The same musicians we love would still credit Ace...Peter wouldn't be lip syncing....no unmasked, elder, asylum, hot in the shade....no wondering what happened to their balls...it never would have stopped being great.
