just an incredible song. Makes me want to do a compilation of tracks that are arguably the best song on the album, but aren't written by the main songwriter. This from Dave, some Bryan Maclean, Dennis Wilson, George Harrison numbers too

I bought this album when it was released and didn't like it much but now I'm able to say that 49 years later , I love it.

So here I am tonight at a Lucious concert and they start singing an encore and I am going man, I know this....  I know this....  finally I google lyrics and saw damn, I haven't listened to this album in many, many years and its due to a spin now.  I love my KinKs.  I hope Ray and Dave patch it all up for one last go on the road.  Life is too short ya know.....

Pure brilliance...... wistful lyrics like so much of Ray's work... then maybe unintentional humour at Mike Avery pounding the living hell out of his toms, giving of that unmuffled boing.....

the outro is the intro to five years basically,, and the melodies are very Bowiesque, or may i say otherwise ; ) love the k¡nkss, they were "banned" to play in the US, you can tell why, it was The Beatles, you dont want your artists to compete w each other,,, basicalllly all bands owned by 6 labels who all related,,, these guys probably wrote songs for them by the miite ,,,, im pretty sure they were cool not being as fanmous a sthe beatles,,,, they are great KINKS,,, probably the crew behid all these wrote 1/3 or mroe of the songs of that era,,, i know becuas i was there, the music industry is basically a sham, but it does produce good sounds from time to time, but its like a Religion, or a Strange Kult, so beware
