Kinks, The - Rock 'N' Roll Cities Lyrics
Rock 'n' roll cities, look out here we come
From Buffalo to the Gulf of Mexico
Rock 'n' roll cities, look out for our bus
Does anybody know the way to Idaho?
Had some trouble on the way
I never thought we'd get here
But we made it just the same
The flight over was real rough
So could you lead me to a beer
I see the pretty girls getting younger
Every year
Rock 'n' roll cities, look out here we come
From New York State to the Gulf of Mexico
Does anybody know the way to Idaho?
WCVR KONK, WSOS, are we still on that playlist?
Well, it's anybody's guess
But what does it matter when you're out on the town
Rock 'n' roll cities, with a pizza to go
Rock 'n' roll cities, Philadelphia P.A.
I got my radio
Promo for MTV
What's next on the itinerary? Can anybody tell?
What's the hotel like? Is there cable T.V. as well?
Get up with a headache, fall asleep on the plane
And we get there, start all over again
Rock 'n' roll cities, look out we're coming through
Kansas City, Fresno, San Diego
Rock 'n' roll cities, look out here we come
Richmond, Cleveland, Ohio, Nebraska, St. Paul
Rock 'n' roll cities, look out here we come
From Buffalo to the Gulf of Mexico
Rock 'n' roll cities, watch out for our bus
Does anybody know the way to Idaho?
Flight 62 now leaving for Memphis stopping at Boston
Washington D.C. with continuing service to Los Angeles
Seattle, Portland... etc...
Rock 'n' roll cities, look out here we come
90 miles on Highway 61
Rock 'n' roll ladies, watch out here we come
Does anybody know the way to Madison?
Rock 'n' roll cities look out here we come
Rock 'n' roll cities

Kinks, The Rock 'N' Roll Cities Comments
So Kinks must of really liked the USA to write a song about touring the USA
His youngest of 5 sons...Edward(Eddie) who is an actor is a split image of Dave at that age...very handsome young man.
When Dave proved that he was as good as Ray
The Kinks were the classic band with the greatest Sense of Humor !
Dave mentioned on Twitter his "wife"in this video was Marina Sirtis aka Counselor Troi from Star Trek Next Generation.
Dave´s voice is amazing!
Dave is Awesome, a TRUE ROCK N' ROLL GOD!!!
👽👽👽👽
Does anyone know the way to Idaho?
When I see and hear this, I'm glad the Kinks won't reunite. Fingers crossed.
sounds too much like "low budget". it just makes me want to listen to "low budget".
Good old Dave, always got his 1 or 2 songs in per album.
so fun to see it!!
Funny to see Dave with all the kids. I believe he had 5 children at the time of this video (though the oldest he did not see until she was grown), and has a total now of 8 children.
I wonder if any of the kids in the video are his?
Actually, scratch that--the boy Dave is holding at the end of the video is his son Russell :)
@rockisheaven So is the blonde boy to Dave's left in the dressing room shot. Looks exactly like him. I think he has 7 sons and then his oldest is a daughter Tracy from the tragic forced breakup by their parents when Dave was 16 Sue was 15. Her parents adopted the baby..Dave didn't meet her until she was an adult.
nice how they brought Mick back for this
From "Think Visual" 1986. One of the few decent tunes on that album. Still love 'em though.
When You Were A Child, from the same album, is just gorgeous!
"How Are You" happens to be one of the best Kinks songs of all time. A classic.
Creaulx Lost and Found is the best song from that album yet none of you have mentioned it
Working at The Factory is an underrated gem from that album
i like it too !
