They’re both good. Think of it like a multipurpose song. Fits two moofs

I really like both, but the ooz version is an adult archy. It’s this really gentle old crooner and it’s so much more emotional. This version is cool but the other one is a masterpiece in my opinion. If you disagree I fully respect that

though it is funky like this i wouldnt change it for the album version. so much more magic

Amazing version, but "la lune" on The Ooz is surely the best track on the album, maybe the best track in 2017. I love it

yo okay so this might be an unpopular opinion but i like the version of this song on the ooz more than this

This version had been out for a few years before The Ooz, so I personally have gotten used to this version, but I guess it didn't fit with the album, so he probably had to re work it. This is a more fluid and emotional version in my opinion. A favorite as well, but I agree.

yeah groove is missing in the album version. at first i was really disappointed with the version that's on the album. now i think i get it. different versions. different moods. this sounds a lot more like 6 feet beneath the moon than with the ooz cause he was in that groovy mood in those days. he had to change the instrumentation of this song, otherwise it wouldn't fit the rest of the album. even though i like this one better, i really enjoy the album version now. introspective and meaningful (see, i was raised to the moon). i'm really glad our king is back.

Exactly! The most obvious example of sound evolution is just compare "La Lune"-2013 and "La Lune"-2017. There are different sound and background behind each song

This version was much more vulnerable and rhythmic. The album version almost unrecognizable from this version. I prefer this one for the melody alone, but the album version nice in its own way.

the sax and mixer guy is over killing the sound in my opinion, it sounds horrible live.

This version is more suitable for "6 Feet Beneath The Moon", it`s more, uhm, positive and loud. "La Lune" from the new album is on it`s place, it sounds beautiful as an ending of such dark and wistful album like "The OOZ"
