King Krule - Ceiling Lyrics
I endure stroking my head on the cranes
Well now they alone are all just one in the same
Demean and try to walk about
Among stolen signs that talk about
A passion that lies, well easy now
Just bathed in doubt
I’ll scan a different coast
Where my blame can lay and roast
In the heat of my own treason
Just as another pavement toasts
I remain aware of those
When consumed to paths of reason
Now do you stew your lovers croak to the glue of your own throat?
When the scenery starts peeling
This is the final line I wrote
And applying the final coat
That would bring down the ceiling
This is the final line I wrote
When applying a final coat
That would bring down the walls
Well easy now, easy now
Maybe I was found
Just bathed in doubt

What is ?
Meaning of song?
"feeling trapped in a room with a bunch of idiots." ( is what he said in an interview) -
"I was in a studio recording “Rock Bottom” and I was in the studio recording half of the album there. The studio was the Fish Factory and was owned by an Italian guy, I think his name was Alessandro. It’s a quite famous studio in West London. He lived there with his wife. He wanted to buy this Neve mixing console and his wife told him “If you buy it, I will leave you and you will live in the studio”, and then he bought it. He’s a good man. He kinda just set about what we used to record it and that was quite nice. We recorded “Rock Bottom” and then I had this bass line in my head and we just put down this bass line, and then I started literally just screwing about in the studio, you known, and just like using every single bit of equipment that [?] and just throw it down on the track and kind of formed the structure from that. And the lyrics in that song, they were written in a room full of people, and I wasn’t happy to be in the room with. It’s kinda about that: feeling trapped in a room with a bunch of idiots."
@Leon damn, I feel that way rn..
