King, Freddie - Big Legged Woman Lyrics

I love the tip, I love the top
I love you better than a hog loves slop

'Cause you're a big legged woman
With a short, short miniskirt
Promise me darlin'
You'll never make me feel like dirt

Do you have the vine goes around the stump?
You are mine, call it sugar lump

'Cause you're a big legged woman
With a short, short miniskirt
Promise me darlin'
You'll never make me feel like dirt

I've told you once, I've told you twice
We go together like fried beans and rice

'Cause you're a big legged woman
With a short, short miniskirt, alright
Promise me darlin'
You'll never make me feel like dirt

Ashes to ashes and dust to dust
You mess with my woman
I'm gonna hurt you first

'Cause she's a big legged woman
With a short, short miniskirt
Promise me darlin'
You'll never make me feel like dirt

I love my big legged woman
I love my big legged woman
I love my big legged woman
I love my big legged woman

I love my big legged woman
I love my big legged woman

She's alright, she's alright
She's alright, she's alright
She's alright, she's alright
She's alright, she's alright

She's alright, she's alright
She's alright, she's alright
She's alright, she's alright
She's alright, she's alright

She's alright, she's alright
She's alright, she's alright
She's alright, she's alright
She's alright, she's alright

Dose big legs mean long tall legs or short chubby legs ??? 😂 I’m confused

    K.... C....

I'm no expert but pretty sure if he meant long, tall legs - the song title would have been Long Legged Woman!

    K.... C....

I was just trying Figure out what he was sing about ... I know guy that sang this and his lady is little legs lol 😂... 🤷🏼‍♀️

    K.... C....

@Knox Cassise I really don't know what it means for sure and don't mean anything racial but lots of men like big women, especially black men.

I think it's 'red beans and rice'. The man was a Texan after all

  4. R.... B....

Love the Great Freddie King, but you should check out Blues Arcadia, they do this song justice.

  5. T.... R....

Awesome song! Killer tone! Killer vocal! Killer everything!...We love you Freddie King!

  6. T.... G....

Theres alot of grooves and swagger on this track.

  7. u.... t....

Great song, but tough beat in a jam situation with no rehearsal. You need a really good drummer and bass player otherwise this song will be flop. Plus, who's always got a Leon Russell behind them? Lot easier when you got a great band and all you have to do is play licks.

he brought the house down with this one. made everyone lose their minds.

  14. C.... C....

Out of the real blues guitarists, Freddie King had the funnest sound. Just makes you wanna start bouncing around

  15. C.... G....

  16. s.... ....

  17. j.... ....

Who was the one able to dislike??? AMAZING SONG!!!

  18. B.... ....

P-90 tone was his best, love that Goldtop.

    B.... ....

I read he used that to record with in the studio even after he stated playing ES style guitars.

  19. N.... L....

Amazing, true talent. That man knew how to groove. Playing for his Heavenly Host right now, without a doubt.

  20. B.... ....

  21. j.... ....

That's Leon Russell & Tulsa Tops backin' up Freddie!

    j.... ....

    Yes it is! True fan

  22. B.... ....

I read an interview many years ago which I still have somewhere in which he said he preferred a Les Paul for recording but used a 345 live because a Les Paul looked like a toy on him.

    B.... ....

He was a big man - he used to play and hang out at Mother Blues in Dallas, TX back in the day - very friendly and down to earth, he actually lived in Dallas.

  23. b.... ....

great groove on this song. What year was this song released?

  24. J.... t....

Wow, how sexy! Great groove from one of the absolute masters.

    Miss him so.

  25. M.... L....

In the later period Freddy King used a 100 Watt Silverface Fender Quad Reverb with 4x12 inch speakers, Albert Collins also favoured this amp for live gigs...
    Smokestack Lightning

  26. n.... ....

    Brilliant.
I first heard the Bugs Henderson version, now I know why it was soo goood.
    One of the great "Kings".

    n.... ....

    Amen nickelfixit.

I was fortunate to see the Three Kings Tour in Chicago way back when.

Freddy King, Albert King and BB King all on the same tour. They each did a set and then for the encore all three came out and jammed hard in a cutting session to see who was top axeman that night.

    n.... ....

First time I saw Bugs was at The Cellar in Dallas, TX with Jimmie Vaughan and Doyle Bramhall, Sr. long ago.

  27. s.... ....

this is a great song by one of the great blues masters.
